Off to a decent start

Another one of those long nights, really odd, from sleeping 18 hours a day, been lucky to get an hours sleep here and there these past few weeks. And one thing for sure it is not Scancell that is to blame for that, far from it.............

For me today heralds in the beginning of another new period in our development and growth as a company. The first for me was the period where David Evans was reading the agenda of the AGM, the first one I attended must be back in 2013 in London now. I could say the second period began after he finished, lol, it went on for ages, it was painful, but the second period for me was when John Chiplin replaced Evans, and for all the criticism he has taken from so many, we have under him arrived at the third phase, with the addition of Vulpes to our share holders and IMHO a very impressive Martin Diggle as we move back into human trials.

I don"t think it takes too much imagination to look back in retrospect, and see the mess we were in when he joined the BOD, and I will always remember LD and RG at a Derby AGM trying to reassure us all that relationships between the BOD had never been stronger. So easy looking at everything in retrospect, and in doing so the timelines make sense now as to a large degree does the fall in the SP.

So in the next few days we begin the SCIB1/Keytruda trial, knowing that MOD1 is getting nearer every day to its early 2020 start, and SCIB2 under the competent guidance of CRUK behind that and hopefully a start by a further 6 month period. Are there many companies recently valued at just under £20m who will have three important trials running at the same time, not to mention the next candidates progress to trials, the Glycans/Mabs etc etc.?? I rather doubt it.

So lets have a good week and enjoy this share, it has been a long time coming.

Well the Vulpes deal has put a valuation on us, and that is 5p a share!!!

As far as these disputes go, well Knowlesi seems to have issues with everyone here, and to be fair to Ruck and Inanaco so much of what you argue about is deeply personal too. Personally I have more interest in what Inanaco adds to this BB rather than focusing on his wordings don"t to every smalll point, we can all make up our own minds as to what we feel. And that Ruck is how I think about your posts, a load to offer, you raise questions we should consider but would feel more comfortable if they weren"t directed at one person continually as i have said many times.

It is a shame we hear less from people who are buying stakes, I have on the odd occasion declared three sells as well, just the way I am, and reaching new thresholds is good to hear. It has little effect on me hearing big buys, which are often just replacing shares traded before. In my first couple of years here i used to feel that everyone topping up was just building stakes not replenishing what has been traded, I used o think everybody held millions of shares, lol.

So lets do ourselves more justice in those regards , still IMHO too many petty rows and personals at a very interesing time, and I am sure whoever buys has considered what to look for very well.

I really don"t get this sensitivity to anybody who feels very positive about Scancell at this point in time. and it is hardly a shock to hear what Martin Diggle had to say on Proactive. This area in British Biotechs has been largely ignored, his explanation of the differences with the American market were interesting to hear, our comparisons as to progress as far as our science goes to other companies in this sector has been pretty spot on, according to Martin, and we have been saying for a long time ""we are undervalued by the market"", and that is conmpared to many other companies.

Pretty much what many LTHs here have been saying for a long time, and his £4m is a pretty significant amount to invest at this time. Every bit as significant as many of us here have invested in building our stakes. So I don"t think, and that is your opinion too that we need to be apologetic for our opinions. Yes it is high risk, but so are the rewards, so if people think we are wrong, then simply don"t invest!!

Anyway, looking forward as ever to another week, feeling rather proud we have got to where we are now, and have that feeling like never before that there is a whole lot more to come that we won"t be expecting. So night you guys, the biggest difference with the positive posters is that we back up our posts with facts, observations and reason, whilst the negative one just posts his opinion as a fact and offers little more than accusation after accusation, only he knows why.

I think you know full well what I mean. It is not just a case of the science that drives an SP, any SP. I think it is fair to say we have experienced most of the variables that come into play. But regardless as I have said many times, we have never been better positioned or valued as to what we are now, so regardless of intraday movements feel very relaxed about our future. I think it is also fair to say we haven"t seen any reflection as to as to inflection points for where we are now either. Bit like sitting your finals after years of studying?

Now can we drop the subject, lol ?

Ray, yes I heard that Sweden connection too right at the end, and have been mentioning Karolinska as an important item of news to hope for.

As in the CRUK competition, we reached the final ten out of 145 competing companies, and hearing how long ago Vulpes interest in Scancell began, and the validations we have heard from so many in the Oncology world, it is easy to understand how many are very interested in this trial. It is a culmination of the years of networking, industry PR , exhibitions and conferences that we now hope to see impact on the share price from any IP we have built.

Ruck, I get your point, but hope we don"t spend too long on this one, one thing we have all learnt is the disparagy in SP from the science, there are still many factors that will determine market moves, and that works both ways too.

Good on you bobbust, if I had the spare funds I would have dived in sub 5p, but as I have always said I am pretty proud in my own personal situation to have built a 220k holding.

I related to Wildforces post yesterday when he said he would still be OK if the share failed, and he wasn"t just talking about finances. I feel the same. None of us know what we will need for the future, I really don"t, but I have learned in the last few years that there was nothing much I needed, so I bought more than I ever imagined instead. The rewards could be so high, but even then there will not be that much I can do with it. So the old addages of invest what you can afford come to mind, and with that I can sleep peacefully. It matters to me more what Scancell can add to treatments in the Cancer world, and believe me if I benefit the Cancer world will too. GL

Don"t think I have ever had the feeling of such little fear before, what with Moditope about to begin human trials and even SCIB 2 which hopefully will begin the second half of 2020, and whatever other left field news we receive.

The only fear I have ever felt is the prospect of trading this, where my human error would be exposed (or not), so very happy to hold for now. With the prospect of news on all platforms I would rather be in than out at any foreseeable time this coming year.
