And on that point of funding I thought Bermuda, again, made an excellent point.................."".Regarding SCIB1, if the trial is successful then it needs to move into a much larger randomised study and the concern must be whether the results in just 25 patients will be enough to attract a partner to fund it. That's a very different risk though from whether or not the market has disappeared because others have beaten Scancell to it."""
I suppose the term ""Big Pharma"" sounds like the ultimate goal for Scancell, been trying to find the actual words used by Chiplin three years ago, saying to effect we were targetting second tier Big Pharma"", not the actual words used but there is a huge market that exists behind the biggest names where our science is of maybe greater interest, BioNTech is one, our collaborator on the third platform another and we will only grt to hear of others when a collaboration or commercial deal is completed.
We had that situation with RG when he was retiring when frustration over his "failures" were high, and then received a few rNS s in quick succession over collaborations he had negotiated with ISA Pharmaceuticals, Amplivant etc again all situations that couldn"t be discussed prior to when they were.
The reason I have enjoyed the posts today is simply they have all been constructive, iit is not criticism I fight, I well get that linked to expectations and frustration, but I just feel we have so much to discuss of how Scancell have put us in a much stronger position, and thanks Ray for your thoughts on two CIs, why three might be one too many and how SCIB1 could jut be the answer along with many others.
There are five holders who I enjoy being in contact with, long term Scancell holders who like me are holding tight and looking for trading opportunities too, they have lowered their averages enormously in the City Financial ""sale"", and whilst they post rarely it is so good to hear honest opinions. Everybody is so realistic about our prospects, taking into account how nothing is a given, so the opinions are not from blind adoration but valued opinions. I look forward to them all re joining us here, good news and that move back to double figures will do it, and most importantly a continuation of the atmosphere so well on view for all to see today.
I just feel many of the plans we have fror the coming year are a result of numerous meetings with prospective deal makers, I too would love to see 75 man trials, but we work under strict financial constraints, I just have confidence in this BOD to get there in the end, i do feel some of the criticism aimed at them is frustration, but the day I feel I know better than them and Lindy, and disagree how we are going about it, will be the day I sell my shares. For now, that is far from the case.
