Been enjoying reading your posts here of late, this one being no exception. I only bought 27ks worth 8 days ago at 5.533 as I was expecting news like we all were, but positive news around a funding. Just a week on I could never have imagined the deal that has been struck for a ""company priced as a AIM Biotech start-up""!!!
I have always felt Vulpes presence would play a part in our next raise and apart from adding a few shares to their holding they have IMHO taken us up a few notches in our standing in the Bio world based on our science. It was Ruck who asked that question about whether our CEO was good enough the other day, I felt it was an unfair question simply with sentiment low and fears of a raising over us. It might just be has a very good working relationship with MD, responsible for the three Avidamab collaborations but it is a hard question to answer given we know little as again was shown by the scale of the deal we had knowledge of. No news here means nothing is happening, but I felt this fromthe moment we released the two RNSs on Mod1 and Covidity in June and I wasn"t expecting any updates until we had the funds to begin the trials.
I feel pretty sure this is the type of deal Vulpes were planning when they brought their stakes, but I have faith in AVidamab, COVIDITY and the two trials regardless of some thinking we have been led down a failed path, and it just seems to me that where we don"t know price sensitive information the favoured route is always to see the worst and blame the BOD.
Yes, they have seen something in us, and it is for us now to grow into the higher profile which this deal will bring, and apart from not having to hear us debating funding 9 months in every year, we have an awful lot of price inflection news to come by virtue of this deal. Repeat something long enough and it becomes a fact but our socitors are one of the leading negotiators of deals in this sector, so why keep repeating we are not capable of putting a deal together??
For me today heralds in the first day of a bright new future, the BOD have never had so much in cash to work from, but hearing already because of that the pressure is off concluding deals. Sorry but I find that baseless, but it will be said enough to become a false fact and whilst that occurs around us I will look forward to news on all four platforms and just pray the coronavirus hinders us no more.
But to end agree totally with............."" What heartens me is that Redmile wouldn't have come on board with such a big investment in a tiny UK biotech if they didn't see the real possibility of a good return...."""
A feeling I share, the only one that makes sense and BOL Scancell in achieving the dreams we have harboured for so long.
