Hoping you had a vice restful, peaceful and enjoyable Xmas despite all the raestrictions we have going on, so many of us looking ahaaid to a New Year where we get some king of control back and things can slowly return to a new ""normal"".

Feeling as I know plenty are I had a nice Xmas Day, planning my flat lift and today with friends, and a couple of us there feeling as confident as we can for this year coming. Lets hope things just go our way and a prosperous year awaits us.

Good posts BOJO, look forward to each and everyone of us returning by Tuesday, chilled, allighned and we get the rewards we so richly reserve as the canver platforms can do for patients, not just COVIDITY.

Hasiba, thank you, I wasn"t so much looking for a rise the last few days but was interested in all the tiny amounts being offered on level2, the difficulties in selling and the two sells at 16p which did not bring us down.

Any thoughts on those??

The scope for the New Year whilst not an immediate fix is huge, we can only hope for the quickest resolution to Global woes, to see our investments thrive, especially here, The curtains will open again one day, soon we hope, we just need to be ready for when they do.

My particular thanks to the many posters who post here, the interesting topics we discuss, and as time progresses decency is returning, I truly cannot wait for next year.

What an odd day today, buying presure from 2.00, just couple of small sells (couldn"t get a price to sell anything but 100) and ask very slowly fell to 16.585

Thought we might see a delayed sell after the close

Lets see what tomorrow brings, got a good feeling about this rise and a decent day of consolidation today.

Well done buddy, for a quiet day in all some regular buying in the last hour or so, over 300k buys I reckon and still 16.575 being paid, about ten times now.

About 14 trqades in the last 25 minutes or so, 12 buys, around 250k and 2 sells 14k. Can just about sell 100 shares on H/L, been like that all day, so expecting a decent sized sell to come and hopefully we can push on after that. Mind you just a half tody tomorrow isn"t it??

Do you guys know how many people the Government are planning to vaccinate on a daily basis??? The figure that 500,000 already have doesn"t mean anything to me without that. ATB

Well it took me nigh on 5 hours to hear the information I felt was important to hear..................telly now off!!!

500,000 people have been injected with their first doses, more than I would have guessed, but no idea what the target figures are.

38.000 new cases and 691 deaths reported in the last 24 hours

The "R" number is between 1.1 and 1.2, hence for every 10 people infected, they will pass it on to 11/12 people

And this new "varient" is 70% more transmissable than the old one.

See it takes 5 hours to hear what is "news" and 4 hours 55 minutes of political mamoevering!!!!!

Does anybody find it weird that whilst all the focus today on the news is about ""this new varient", they are showing every few minutes that there is no suggestion that the varient will make the Pfizer vaccine any less succesfull.

I understand the need to rduce panic and negativity from the public at large whilst they are arranging to get so many people injected as fast as possible, but seriously how can they say that, at this juncture?? And all the while they have any number of Labour spokespeople criticising every move the Government makes, which IMHO serves no purpose other than to breed contempt and destroy trust and respect for what they are doing as news changes very frequently , and you never get alternative stratagies what the Opposition would do if they were in power.

I guess I have been saying this for the best part of a year now, how wonderful it must be to be able to critice everything whilst taking or having not to deal with the consequences of every decision made. And the biggest same old criticism is reserved for making what they call U-Turns, but surely as the scientists uncover new information and this really sounds a pretty serious discovery, we have to change stratagy to combat it??? How the hell can the Government make decisions which suit the entire population, it is impossible, and coming now to mutations, which we have discussed here for some time, they just cannot predict what form the mutations arrive at.

I think the social media and press have a lot to answer for turning this into a political battle field just at a time when we all seriously need to follow guidelines as best as we can, regardless of the short notice we are being given now in a situation which is clearly more serious than many could ever have imagined. I understand everyone has there own opinions and grievances, but regardless of that the point I am making could be over any decisions made. Got that off my chest (a little), but it really is diabolical, ""freedom of press""??? Without a judge and jury, yes,, and none of it IMHO is for any consideration of the people just political ambition, well I think there is a time and place for that. Sorry to bring this up today, rant over, for now...........

As you probably know Ruck I am dealing with so many conditions, that I see little value in phoning 111, I know if I called 999, they would have me off to hospital in a flash just y looking at my diagnosed conditions, I know it is not the virus and just think ATM they can do without me for just now, and having been in complete lockdown for 3 months I feel a lot safer at home than in a hospital doing tests on what they already know. Thanks for the advice anyway, will chat later on the other BB if you want too.

Hasiba, funny enough a few years ago I run a Patients Committee to move local surgeries to poly clinics in the newly built Finchley Memorial Hospital for many reasons, I guess my GP has never forgiven me for that!!! Pretty messy moving surgeries, they only prescribe my medication, but have to take instructions from 4 other consultants for everything they do, so there is never a good time to change, especially with another big biopsy coming up in the New Year.
