CRUK Cuts Funding Due To COVID 194 Feb 2021 03:12
Good Morning Guys, funnily enough that subject headline came up on my memory after we heard mamny months ago CRUK would not be able to take their research further with SCIB2. That was why in just one post I made yesterday I said ""but we know this", and sure enough we did. I will not hrper on bout the SP reaction yesterday to old news, when I woke at 9 we were some 10% down, and when I looked again we had cut that by half.
It broke my heart last week that on decorating my home I had bags of clothes and 2 older televisions to give to charity and I was told no charities are taking donations at the moment, so I had to get rid of what would have been put to great use for someone/somewhere on this planet.
Just had the same feeling now reading Burbles 22.48, and Burble as you know well this just doesn"t apply to cancer research but to all chronic conditions. One of the pleasures I have had since I bought in here has been being positioned to see the progress made in so many conditions and it saddens me to know this progress will have far reaching effects in all diseases in the months and years to come.
Burble I wish you and your collegues all the best in preserving all the good these companies do, one would have thought the Government has plans for this sector in one form or another, as the ramifications just run too high.
Even appointments are running late at UCLH. I have another Pet Scan on the 15th February on my lung which showed a high sugar uptake a few month back, but we treated the bowels first which was unknown territory. This Pet Scan should heve happened first week in January, but I know something is up as I am sleeping 18 hours a day and have no energy whatsoever, so hoping to G=d it is not a 5th diagnosis. Treatment options are running out, and not only that new patients if having delays so high, after finding it hard to be referred by GPs, are losing that window of early diagnosis, which will again affect the survival figures ahead.
So we have a very volatile market, I have missed much of the last few weeks, but we have seen big falls on Interim results and the CRUK news, is there something I am missing here, but nothing in either RNSs seemed alarming to me.
Hoping we can reverse a trend developing here very soon, but wishing more importantly everyone well here, thee really re strange times. Take care..................C7
