Oh so your now including the box office figures of $66.8m - flawed argument again as box office figures would be ticket per person but if streaming just one stream fee.
So bigger lose - thanks you doing a great job keep it up lmao
@shorter -
Im referring to your 7park data post; ill remind you here it is;
@Shorter earlier post:
Google "mulan streaming revenue"
But if 7Park Data's 29 percent figure is correct, Mulan's streaming release has been a major success for the Mouse House, at least domestically, with the blockbuster grossing anywhere between $200 million and well above $260 million in less than two weeks.
I corrected you with fact direct from 7Park Data co-founder Brian Lichtenberger ( i previously posted t w i tter link for all to seem which confirmsd Yahoo! Finance overestimated Mulan's revenue, as their figures were for accounts active during that period and not the total subscriber base, and clarified that 10.3% of all accounts purchased the film, with U.S. revenue estimated to be $62–93 millions.
Stop digging
@shorter thats not a fact again just your opinion.
You asked me to back things up with facts / evidence which i have hence your change of route after scoring an own goal.
What bit of the 10% PVOD sales don’t you get from 7parks data CEO which you referenced. Disney have to date made a lose on Mulan. Look they tried it fair play but it has not to date achieved expectations (l.e a profit for the studio) .
Other studios have watched and realise better to DELAY films rather than go to streaming and make lose due to as you put it new territory.
@Shorter - So finally you admit they made a lose but now your going down the route by saying its because streaming is new territory.
Again readers just need to read down to see Shorter has been streaming for over 10 years so cinema is dying - but this weakens your stance even more that studios will need to be charities for awhile before they see profits
thanks again
@shorter -
Hmmmm mines an estimate based on figures from the CEO and Co founder of 7park data which you posted.
I think the readers can see your post back fired -
But go on pretend it didn't happen haha
embarrassing yourself Shorter.
So Mulan to date has not made a return on studio production costs at 10% PVOD - unless Disney is now a charity?? Lol
@shorter - Just to jog your own memory lmao
RE: StreamingToday 13:15
@Chartz
Google "mulan streaming revenue"
But if 7Park Data's 29 percent figure is correct, Mulan's streaming release has been a major success for the Mouse House, at least domestically, with the blockbuster grossing anywhere between $200 million and well above $260 million in less than two weeks
So the above post is not fact
@Shorter - The relevance is he is the 7park data CEO -and co founder who relate to your 7park data post of 29%. - which is not correct or fact !
You cant make this up - in stitches of laughter.
@shorter
From the horses mouth add ://
https:/mobile.twitter.com/Brian_7Park/status/1307344855111266304
So fact !
Oh and your post is ??? Lmao
So 7Park Data co-founder Brian Lichtenberger has stated Yahoo! Finance overestimated Mulan's revenue, as their figures were for accounts active during that period and not the total subscriber base - Its from 7Park Data own co-founder clarifying your figures are wrong.
Sorry folks “own goal” - its hard to type whilst crying with laughter
Thanks @Shorter - home goal!
IndieWire estimated the $261 million figure was unlikely, since Disney would have likely touted it.7Park Data co-founder Brian Lichtenberger stated Yahoo! Finance overestimated Mulan's revenue, as their figures were for accounts active during that period and not the total subscriber base, and clarified that 10.3% of all accounts purchased the film, with U.S. revenue estimated to be $62–93 millions.
Comedy Gold
@shorter so you cant come back with your counter to it not being fact.
So going on whats been published in the public domain - Mulan production cost was $200m.
Box office earnings so far : $66.8m ( international Cinema sales to date - again in public domain.
So based on the above if Mulan had made higher return than box office figure Disney WOULD be shouting it from the rooftops ( which that have not - actually rather quiet) so signals to me PVOD sales were much lower to date.
However, Ill be generous and say it matched the $66.8m box office with $66.8m PVOD sales that would mean they have not yet recouped their production costs by some way...
Go on as you like making claims as facts- so lets say Disney marketing team have all been distracted and forgot to let the media know how well PVOD did and it made $95m streaming sales they still have not made a return.
@shorter feel free to post the total revenue figures then to say its not fact ???
Ive got to head out soon but ill wait 15mins for you to show
@Shorter thanks again for more material to work with.
So you have been streaming for the last 10 years fair play to you - by the way is this the same 10 years that Cinema has been making very healthy returns ?? Brilliant thanks for helping
To date they have not recouped - fact
But I’ll entertain your reply and again highlight the flaw
So you seriously think the major studios are going to wait a far longer life cycle period to see a film release to see a profit return ?? Problem there is where is the big cash coming in from so the studio can make the next films ???
LMAO so Mulan and Trolls ( ill help you ) which both went PVOD yes - these the two same movies which didn’t recoup the studio capital expenditure ?? Hmmmm sounds like a good non profitable business model I guess
@Shorter - oh sorry i must like most have missed the announcements from studios that they are now releasing all their blockbusters to streaming sites rather than DELAY.
Hate to have to highlight your flawed response - so what blockbusters will they be streaming ????
You have to ask yourself if streaming is the future as some claim - then why have nearly all Major studios DELAYED films to 2021... rather than release to streaming sites ??? Hmmmmmm
Mainland Europe represents just under 12% of business though.
