TA the Sp has nicely stabilized above the first positive trigger 540p.

My take on things was that Brittain has been lured into the European Union:
"A kingdom for Europe. For a long time, the British fought for EC membership. But when they finally allowed to join in 1973, the dispute in the country really starts. When the time came, Edward Heath sits in the plane. The British prime minister attended a funeral in Canada and does not return to London until the early morning of January 1, 1973. In general, it is quiet on this New Year's Eve, in which the United Kingdom becomes a member of the European Community (EC). No cheering fireworks, no protests." (google translate)
Whatever promises were made: Sad to see that apparently any social community only works if the majority take more than they give. See for eg the long discussion about the National Health Care Sytem. I am sure that a large number of upper/middle class people have already left the system and opted for their own private health insurance - while the NHS would only work well if all citizen countribute.
Comparable to the EU. It can only work if a few wealthy states are willing to contribute more than they take. At the same time you have to remember that rich members exploit cheap workforce and sell their products EU wide (ask your local polish tiler in Yorkshire :))
Oil rich Norway decided against the EU, while this country would have been a real blessing for the Union:
"EU accession: Norway has applied for membership of the European Union four times (1962, 1967, 1970 and 1992). When France vetoed UK membership in 1962 and 1967, which had applied for membership at the same time as Norway, the Norwegian application for membership was also discontinued. The Norwegian voters then denied their country's accession to the EU in 1972 and 1994, respectively, by referendum, which is why the country's government was always forced to withdraw the proposal at the last moment (with an already fully negotiated accession treaty)."
