TheTraveller, good man! Heres another sidenote IMHO. Whatever this rollercoaster ride brings, even if one is forced to sell some chunks at a loss: In my opinion it is best to keep at least one stake invested through thick and thin. Just the amount one can afford and does not bother about. That's if you are convinced that this is a long term recovery - and that Woody will either live or die with this share :))) - Basically it is greed (spinning the big wheel) that brings PIs under sudden short term pressure and makes them throw the towel. - It takes good calculation, balance and relaxation that enables PIs to stay on board for many months without the urge to react or even watch the Sp. Lets see if in one years time this is 1,800p per share...

Break even? Or get out on a loss...? No Sir! They keep holding and adding. The entry price doesnt matter to them. Its all about the share of company they control (as well as the dividend). In my opinion they will then buy up the entire company - for instance with the help of a company in the same branch. One day their shares could be worth between 16 / 18 / 25 Pounds per share. Now this is 800p per share. Think about it. Actually its quite odd, how large holders can squeeze out "weaker holders" simply by lowering the share price. And the next thing you know is the share seens all of a sudden rise.

RT 863.00 Nice little rebound from this weeks low, and above the vital 860 average line. Happy to see it stabilized. Bodes well for the opening next week. (Happy to see my trade not knocked out just yet).

JM, the majority of newbies has only bought in two or three weeks ago, as high as 910 / 930 and ridiculous 955p! Look around, hear around: Many are still holding. There has been a fake/staged up-trend, with an instant bounce and selloff for whatever reason. Down to as low as ridiculous 845p yesterday. No sir, this is not some silly 3% loss. Not many people can take a 10-15% loss here after coming in with 50-70k Pounds. Most of all not everyone of us has planned to stay invested in PFG more than one month. Certainly not a year. If PFG wanted to lock-in smalltraders, they have managed to do so very successfully. Not many people are willing (or able) to sell with their current losses. Even if you only had 1,000 shares during the normal 940`s days, you are basically down one grand by today. Totally inacceptable! ------------ "Its not really any diferent from an 5p drop on a 90p share though is it ?? its % drop and yesterday was less than 3% even with larger (as always) intra day swing!!

Like said, JM, not many PIs can stay underwater such a long time as bigplayers. II's mostly focus on the percentage of company holding (and control). The entry price is secondary for long term II's. Woddy topping up bigtime in recent days, as from 910p - 900p - 890p . 880p down, he can easily survive a 100, 200 and even 300p drop without setting a tear. For Invesco & Co its about the percentage of control/dividend they have, and they can even use losses to write off... Totally different situation to a private investor, who would drop dead by then. Think about it. If we bought together with Woody recently, with a decent 30, 50 or 70 grand, honestly, few PIs can survive even a 50p drop. Not to mention 100p or 150p as we have seen in the last seven days. Just so so ridiculous if this has been on purpuse!! In my honest humble opinion it is best to stay alerted about these things instead of putting the head in the sand. There at the II's might be the "boiler room" you were referring to. That's if its true that someone deliberately soaked in PIs to as high as 900p or 950p and then started to tank artificially (on very low volume) to make PIs sell. We have seen this pattern three or four times since August - November.

Now back at the work desk, Judge-mental! (Only one account. Only one PC - but six screens.) RT 856: - the Sp now trying to regain the important 862p line - stable sideways as long as the 862 - 864p support is maintained - if bounce off 860p, then testing of the mid term 841p line again - last support at 824p - new bullish alert IMHO only if massive 880p is climbed.
