Happy New Year fellow Shellers. what will 2022 bring . no one knows. a special divi or a new variant? well its odds on the latter i feel. many on the advfn BB remain very upbeat for 2022, but i cant see all plain sailing , thats just not the world atm. well i predicted £17 75 for 2021, so im predicting £19 50 - £19 75 for next Year. time as i always say will tell. good luck in all your lives nexy year to all.

this daily madness over omicron shows the madness + weakness of people + the markets. endless speculation of what, if ,why ,when , maybe , might. cv19 isnt going away is it. simple. a lockdown after xmas is a certainty surely. hundreds of people mixing all over the world + omicron is spreading like wildfire. so wheres the uncertainty. most shares are gonna fall till this variant passes. theres no santa rally as santa cant afford the petrol prices. wheres the bottom, who knows but this isnt it. a good topping up on the dips could be a good bet. but the wait may be a while. anything below £16 should pay off, eventully.

well as i expected a lockdown is on the cards. looks a very good buying opp if you dont mind waiting. below £15 could come into new year i fear. maybe a special divi would stop the fall being big. maybe some will buy shares with their divi from monday. but i dont see to much uprise over the next month. lets hope i wrong.

RBC price target of £25. christmas will be on the same day as boxing day from now on. who are these people. friends of peppa pig .

hi, things do move very quickly , up or down, but again were back below the £16 mark. some del boys on here were talking £30 in 2022 just the other week , but their deluded. id take over £20 for 2022 right now. again cv19 has raised its ugly head , so a lockdown after all the worlds holidays looks likely in January imo. xmas + new year rally dont look likely atm. people on bloomberg + cnbc were saying cv19 would be over by may 2021 + things would be in full swing. i dontthink anyone really knows, but the reality is its not over for the duration. alot of people are sitting on similar losses to you , but with very good oil + gas prices it must count for something, but when, thats the difficult bit. im gonna buy when i think its bottomed , but below £15 could be on the horizon. hopefully your other investments do well in the meantime. new year new hope . well time will telll. good luck.

well were back over £16 for now. a good market for day traders at present. it shows how mentally feeble most human beings are, that a new variant 18 months in, can cause mass panic worldwide.as if by design i think weve been up today , so a big down day tomorrow on the opec + meeting news no doubt. i will top up soon , when the madness pauses for a while.

it seems shell are waiting for the name change vote before anything else. stayed above the magic £16 that was so out of reach for ages. the trend seems down atm. but if van the man dont pull his finger out of the 7 billion pie soon, i think he should be the next dutch thing to go. dont get me wrong . he put in place many cost cutting practices a few years back, that helped bigtime when cv19 struck + the saudi v russia oil issue occurred . both of which he couldnt do anything about. but now maybe someone who can structure the new energy adventure could be a option. ben your fiddling while shell burns. get your act together or get out. whats happening with the7 billion. royal mail has risen sharply since annoucing their special divi. ill give him till friday, then its a no from me.

well that was a bad few days for shell. not sure if it was just cv19 , oil price fall . but his biden doing a investigation into companies fixing the lng price, or am i wrong. anyway i see royal mail are paying a special divi, well van the man take note, give something to the small shareholders from the 7 billion sale. you dont want char333 to become a activist investor like dann lobe lol. 10 weeks till results so lets hope the fall stops + a period of calm ensues. it seems a uk lockdown will come + that wont be welcome for the markets. but weve been here b4 , so lets see if in a few weeks things are back up again.

When a company buys back its own stock. Who or what happens to the money. Does it go on the balance sheet or to the under writers.

well BP has followed suit + suffered from the same issues , hedging as Shell. im no expert as you all know, but BPs results , like Shells were excellent. I see they have announced more buybacks, which most big firms are doing now. I expext Shell to do the same , with the 7 billion. Sorry special divi fans. most observers are saying the next results will show a better impact from rising energy prices. hopefully that happens. but as a consequence of BPs results will mean more down side will follow for sure. When this goes ex divi next week , a further 18p will come off the SP. ive only got funds to top up about 250 shares, but you can make gains even with that sum. I dont like the wait , but if you think where we were this time last year, everyone would have taken a SP of what it is today. Buy + hold. then when the dust settles + in a month or so youd expect another run back up. Oil is so Volatile that ive learnt your gonna get bad periods. but hopefully were back on the front foot soon. Top up if you can when you think its hit the bottom. looks like it could go below £16. time will tell. enjoy the divi for now. has anyone heard from pokerchips . havent seen a post from him in ages. he + boyobach always give great insight + background to oil matters. perhaps he filtered me.

hi, i think the recent falls are because they missed estimates on their 3rd qaurter results. estimates were 5 billion. came in at 4 billion. i expect more falls during the next month. im looking at £16 , maybe £15 as a topping up point. back out of favour again. but many told me to be patient + they were right. so its gonna take a while to rise again imo. hopefully a xmas rally + new year rally back to £18+. but who knows what will really occur.

hi, hope your well. after missing estimates, i can only see more downside . going ex dividend will push it back. maybe opec news can bring some brief respite, but im looking to top up around £16. i see chevron + exxon beat estimates + went up. sods law. like you say its a bag of tricks , trying to get back to £20 but once shell announce what is happening with the 7 billion, i dont see much to arrest the slide imo. may get below £16, but these are good buying opps if you have the funds. . last week took the gloss off the amazing run. lets see how bps results turn out. but ive learned its a waiting game. very frustrating, but if we can get through this outcry over missing estimates, its only a matter of time before were back going up. next results are a long way off but by then , things should be much clearer. Well my tizers on hold. Not what we hoped for. But we've had a great run. I think after cops26 + going ex divi I'd expect SP to be low £16. Maybe lower. Sods law. But I will top up with my little funds. Then hopefully the run will start again. No real mention about the special divi or buybacks. So that may be a bonus soon. As for the greens. I've said b4 on here about 25 years back the green party used to attend shows at the n e c , where I worked. Maybe if people had given just a bit of credence to their views, we wouldn't be facing the huge calls for climate change now. Yes its been a down day but im sure it won't be to long b4 were on a upward trend. The results were really good.
