I read in the Telegraph this morning that the “canny lads” of Durham have found a local supply of lithium. “ Weardale Lithium said that, if approved by Durham County Council’s planning committee, its processing plant would be “one of the most advanced lithium extraction plants in Europe.” good luck with that journey lads!
Hopeless if you want decisions. They may not show support for lithium mining as it is perceived a s a hot potato and vote loser but neither will they take action to stop it and risk losing EU support. Luckily in SAV’s case we just want the government to leave us alone and allow us to continue operations towards a DFS. Can’t see that changing any time soon?
Not much to think through if you are an existing shareholder? “Members of the public are not eligible to take part in the Placing.”
I.e. we are unable to buy at this price or benefit from the issue of warrants.
Whether you meant the comment as a joke or not, the unusual price rise on Friday remains unexplained.
….and just how did that price-sensitive information get out and traded on? Deafening disinterest from any other buyers today!
“…a road paved with potholes.” Rather like SAVs journey in Portugal to date?
Haven’t seen these lows since March 2020. Almost unbelievable.
Good to see the firm rebuttal by APA but all this to and fro between plaintiffs and defendants seems to be aimed more at the court of public opinion than the court of justice?
Do the Portuguese media award themselves prizes for pontification? Plenty of contenders trying to grab the moral high ground on lithium mining. This is just another self-publicist grandstanding on tittle tattle and Chinese whispers. Just ignore them and they will disappear in a puff of their own hot air!
Read the RNS?
Can’t make that day unfortunately.
SAV was in a decent position until a massive hit of uncertainty regarding the political upheaval associated with the criminal investigation into alleged corruption in lithium licensing. We are now treading water until the uncertainty is resolved and the newly elected government clarifies its position in regard to lithium mining and processing. Until then we are just filling the board with idle chatter and reminiscing about the good old bad old days.
This works for me: “The generally accepted cutoff date is January 7th. Why? Because by then, everyone has already broken their resolutions and is too busy Googling “how to get a refund on a gym membership” to care about your belated well-wishes.”
A promise to do something in the new year is a bit like a weak resolution and as long as it’s completed by next Xmas is still valid? Would be good to have another face to face if only to see how much we have aged since the bygone days of miss-spent optimism regarding Oman and Mozambique?
Pity Costa didn’t do more to back up his views when he had some power himself and before he was discredited . Can’t see his successor taking any notice of this.
Gibberish! AI?
SAVs PR dept have once again failed to cover themselves in glory! It’s a poor show when Luserocursos gets a mention and we don’t?
Worrying about new battery technologies has always been futile. As has trying to time the market. Nasdaq view is it’s still early days.

“ We believe we’re in the early stages of a lithium bull market. It is our belief that pure-play lithium miners—companies that are upstream in the supply chain—may benefit most from the increased demand for this critical battery metal.”
From the SAV ESG statement “Operation designed to be self-sufficient for water to avoid drawing on external supplies”.
Perhaps the survey is more about avoiding drilling through aquifers?
From the Telegraph “
The world’s biggest car maker has long been pushing for hydrogen passenger cars, but it is now embracing new battery tech”….
IB, not aware that our mayor has been tainted in any way?
