"AstraZeneca is braced to abandon efforts to get its Covid vaccine approved in the US if it is simply "banging its head against a brick wall indefinitely" with regulators.
Sir Mene Pangalos, AstraZeneca's head of research and development, said the company did not need to "push [its Covid-19 vaccine] in places we are not needed or wanted".
So perhaps disagree with that minor pharma AZ
I find the news from AZ today regarding FDA approval a tad worrying.
AZ have rightly recognised that the FDA decision is political/commercial and nothing to do with the efficacy of their vaccine.
Be foolish to think "America First " doesn't play on decision making across the pond.
Ahh yes, Vistagen. Now there's a name from the past
"Company has also signed a new agreement with VistaGen Therapeutics, Inc for an early stage collaboration with immediate revenue, upside and the potential to extend this agreement."
Anyone know how much the " immediate revenue " was?
I was making the point that
1. It's not just the wealthy that are concerned about their health
2. It also depends on what your priorities are. I.e. Spending money on health or fags and booze.
I've had this discussion when on a school board and hoping to take the children on an educational trip and was told that it was alright for me as "I could afford it". After which the rest of the board headed to the pub while lighting up a fag. I got up the following day at 5.30am to feed the cattle.
So as I said, all about priorities.
