The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Irene, you never answered my question... are you invested in CERP or not?
What's your prediction for BBls/d for dec 20/21? Hopefully you might get a bit closer than you did with your Saffron projection....
Does anyone know how accurate the information is on the simplywall.st website?
https://simplywall.st/stocks/gb/energy/aim-cerp/columbus-energy-resources-shares
Surprised to see that the CFO only has a nominal holding, which is a bit worrying....
Irene, It would be complete guess work to attempt to provide future production estimates until further testing has been completed. What i can say with confidence is that CERP are sat on 11.5mmbbl of 40 APi recoverable oil reserves with an NPV of 90.3m based on $45 WTI for the LC alone. Saffron MC is also looking promising with 60 wells planned. 0.7 & 0.9 PSI at the MC depths is very high and should continue to flow unaided for a long time which will help keep costs to a minimum.
Add Suriname Wag Naar zee into the mix and this all adds up to 'massive potential'. I can't wait to see the seismic results for this area as LK could hardly contain his excitement whenever WNZ is mentioned.
Just out of interest, do you hold any shares in CERP at present?
Hi Bully, I agree it's nay roller coaster like this Oil stock, but it's always good to have a few steady ones in the portfolio as well....
Hi Hollybean, To be fair, the Lloyds shares do look a good buy at the moment.... I sold my holding off last year, might be worth another go now though....
Irene, Just have a look on the Company website, all the facts are on there...:-)
Not to worry, at least the Llyods share are doing well.... oh, hang on a minute...:-)
There are to many positives for the share price to drop to those levels again Hollybean. The potential here is massive and i would hope that most people who do proper research into this company will realize that.
Holly bean, check out the last operational update on the company website and you will see information relating to the middle cruse discovery. This includes plans to Identify water zones to isolate and improve oil production rates.
Great points Bamps. Are you going to email LK?:-)
Just looking at recent trades over the last week or so it appears that the majoring of sells during this period have been bulk transactions or 1000,000 or 500,000 shares and the majority of buys have been for smaller amounts but much more frequent.
Could this pattern be down to contractors selling off shares that were issued in lieu of work carried out and retail investors mopping these up?
If the BOD wish to cash in shares issued in lieu or wages do these have to be declared as such?
Personally i'm not too worried about the short term suppression of the SP as i'm in the for the longer term and 18-24 months down the line when countries are back in full production, Saffron 2 is producing and the Oil Price is sky high due to lack of investment over the preceding period that is when things will get really interesting.
Thanks for the link Obadiah. If they do make that price it will be party time!:-)
Does anyone know if VSA have released a revised target price on CERP since the Saffron test results were announced?
Just looking at recent days trading. Looks like the trader who keeps trying to manipulate the market by dropping 1million shares then buying back in after spooking others might come unstuck today.
Fingers crossed it's Irene....:-)

Based on current performance Simply Wall Street has the fair share price of CERP at 0.09p so significantly undervalued at present....
This article is worth a read. https://oilprice.com/Energy/Oil-Prices/Goldman-Sachs-Predicts-51-Oil-In-2021.html
With many of the large oil producers scaling back investment in new fields and exploration projects it wouldn't be to hard to imagine that in a couple of years time when the world is back to full production that the price of oil could hit record highs. The OPEC countries and Russia are going to have massive budget deficits and will be desperate to claw back some revenue and fill their coffers again so there is no way they are going to shoot themselves in the foot and start flooding the market again. 2022 will be a massive year for CERP when Saffron is in full flow and Suriname starts to deliver. Anyone who is in this for the long term should hopefully reap the rewards.
Good luck all.
Some great today guys! Really interesting to read your thoughts and opinions on the testing results and possible future JV's.
I thought LK came across really well on the RNS yesterday and I hope that has put some people's minds at rest that suspected he had become disengaged from the company. He has clearly put a hell of a lot of effort in to guide the company through the testing phase. The future of the company is certainly looking much brighter this week I think...
Did someone on this board mention a couple of months ago that CERP had installed additional storage facilities? Hope I didn't imagine this. Great foresight if they did... Someone at CERP must have a crystal ball.
Fingers crossed for the presentation on Monday, I have a feeling there will be some exciting news!!!
Good luck all.
The main reason I invested in CERP was due to the fact that the company have very experienced oil men at the helm. The perceived lack of information being released at present will either be due to the fact that the Saffron drilling program has encountered unexpected delays/problems or that the BOD do not believe that the current market conditions are right at this time to release better than expected Saffron results to maximise shareholder value. Obviously most of us on here hope it's the latter...
Keep the faith and remember that all our eggs are not in one basket. At 1.18p a share this is still a very good investment, even if Saffron results are not as good as expected.
Looks promising..... Even the threat of a US tariff on O&G imports should force Russia and SA back to the negotiating table.
'Meanwhile, Mr Trump will reportedly meet the bosses of major energy companies, including Exxon Mobil and Chevron, at the White House on Friday.
They will discuss a range of options that may include possible tariffs on oil imports from Saudi Arabia, according to the Wall Street Journal...,'
