I am looking to buy here for dividend income so it's useful to know that Dai have about another 5% to buy if they haven't increased since October.

Does anyone know whether Dai-ichi have started to buy the stated 15% of MNG shares yet?

Interest rate cuts, of they come, will obviously help Denby but not for long if history is anything to go by.

It's how many houses are sold & subsequent profits that will move this share up ... or down so results are key.

Next results 15 Jan.

Labour (& the Tories) know that they will not be in government the next time around so reaching the 1.5 million target for Labour is out of the question & they know it, hence no incentives, all talk & bluster typical of MP's in this country.

Reeves is just filling up the benefits coffers whilst she can to appease the left before any new government changes it.

I've been following this board for a while & I am very sorry to read of the latest tale of woe. The reason I follow is that a while ago just prior to a drill two of the directors were sat in the back of a friends taxi discussing the drill. They were extremely bullish according to my friend, alas the drill came to nothing.

I am also reminded of my foray onto the AIM when I purchased £1,500 of shares in Quindell, run at the time by a Mr Rob Terry!!! At one stage my £1,500 was worth over £40K but on the publication of a scathing report the £40K quickly turned into zero in the space of a few hours & the business went bust, all investors lost everything.

Different to EMP? Yes, I hope so but it's always a good idea to have in mind that over the last 30 years 87% of AIM companies have failed.

I used to be HL but got disillusioned by their fees & slowness to credit dividends amongst other things.

On the advice of a more experienced family member I changed to AJBell, the transfer was seamless & I received an incentive to swap across. Now my dividends are paid early mornings without fail, the fees are much less & I can re-invest dividends the same day or on a date of my choosing not HL's.

I can also select which companies I wish to re-invest dividends in individually by just ticking a box. I don't think that HL have this option.

Downside could be tremendous here.

OffM & Stanley - I read your political jousting posts here with interest & I have to say that in my experience politicians (of all persuasion) are akin to a new born baby's nappy.

They need to be changed frequently & the contents are identical (FOS).

Sadly a dip today on this update, the next one I think is 15th January.

However, once the dust has settled it was encouraging to read that full-year guidance was reiterated, with TW expecting to build between 10,400 to 10,800 new homes and generate around £424 mn of operating profits. So, if you buy today your 9.26% dividend is looking fairly safe & with a 50 / 50 chance of a decent uplift in the SP I for one am happy to hold.

Sparhawk - as a child i remember waking up one morning and we had icicles on the inside of the sash windows.

As a child we could only dream of having sash windows & as the four Yorkshiremen said "We used to dream of living in a corridor (with sash windows) would've been a palace to us. We used to live in an old water tank on a rubbish tip, we got woken up every morning by having a load of rotting fish dumped all over us!

Re-mortgage figures are included in mortgage approval and lending statistics including those from the FT so it's not all wine & roses although rather an increase than otherwise.

If this gov are really sincere in wanting to build 1.5 million homes during this parliament then they will have to establish decent incentives.

a) for the builders to build & make a profit & b) to assist those wanting to own these homes.

Therefore, it's a good each way bet that some form of help to buy scheme will be included in the budget & as is normal this could be leaked to the press before the actual day.

Aspers, I was just giving an opinion as being 100% in on only one share is indeed a brave thing to do, unless you disagree that is.

I always thought that share chat forums were just that & where does it say that I was suggesting how one should invest.

I was simply pointing out that there are other companies out there & after all diversification is widely reported & proved to be a successful way to invest, again unless you disagree?

Guttersnipe, I read with interest you saying have all your eggs in this basket, do you know something others don't?

I personally like this share at this price but pricing pressure must be a concern as revenue will undoubtedly remain under pressure going forward.

Still, we all make our choices but to be 100% in a stock like this is I think extremely brave, particularly when there are other great companies out there.

As a small time holder off 4,000 shares here I was interested to read that CSN have a high ratio of institutional holders at 88%, leaving just 12% of the company in the hands of private individuals. I suppose that it's nice to know that institutions with all their analysts & researchers deem CSN as a good holding but if & when one of the major holders (7 shareholders own 53% of all shares & ABDN own 17%) decide to sell this would have a major impact on the SP. Interested to get others thoughts on this & for what it's worth I will not be selling anytime soon.

Only last week the council lads were out in force here fixing the roads & they've done a great job, so congrats all.

So guys, no pot holes around here but then the lying Tories or Labour aren't in power locally (neither is Nigels reformation mob).

Of course the cynics amongst us may believe that Mr Dimon said what he said so that people sell their shares & he & his friends are able to mop them up a bit cheaper. I'm fairly new to this investing game but it does strike me as possible.
