Just tried to Buy at 11.20p but NT. SP bottomed?
I know a few people who banked profits and sold at around the 13.5p level and are hoping to re-enter at a lower level. There is always going to be a mix of l-t holders and more opportunistic traders. The SP went up from 2.5p to 14.5p in a pretty short period of time so was due a breather imo!
A placing doesn't make sense at these prices. If the news flow over the next 6 months is as positive as indicated, I'd expect the SP to be significantly higher than current levels by YE.
Strange SP movement recently. MMs push the price up after open and then we get a drop through the day. Any thoughts?
Listening to the PH interview again I picked up on a couple of points. The primary reason for the delayed start to commercial production after the IPO was the length of time it took to conduct the necessary tests on their lightweight SPVs and get certification from TUV. Panels were tested in extreme conditions (-50C to +50C and exposed to extreme conditions such as being pelted with hailstones the size of golf balls) Their SPVs passed with flying colours. PH also highlighted that VDTK's SPVs are coated with a unique 3M polymer which allows them to repel dust. Traditional SPVs can lose up to 30% of power output due to dust coating in remote locations. This, together with the long warranties on their SPVs could be one of VDTK's advantages vs competitor products.
Its a mug's game trying to predict the timing of VDTK's next RNS but worth highlighting some of the potential newsflow on orders that may materialise over the next 1-6 months:

Tree shake by MMs ahead of RNS on new orders next week. We saw the same SP drop to 6.5p about a month ago? However the fact that you can buy in the mkt suggests that isn't the case. Profit taking is all I can think of.
Feeks - great spot. Possibly the commercial announcements on GISPVs with Paragraf that PH alluded to in the Vimeo interview will materialise in the next 6 months as he suggested.
In the 28 Jan 2020 business outlet VDTK mentioned they were developing a solar carport solution for a leading multinational fast food retail chain (global top 3 by brand value) Any chance that could be McDonalds? Seems like they have ambitious plans to shift to solar.

Fairview - you make a fair point. My tech expertise was in electronics and semis not solar/renewables! From my perspective the investment case for VDTK looks compelling BUT it is listed on AIM so whether it reaches it's true potential is by no means guaranteed. In the renewables sector of the various companies I've looked at (SAE, PHE, EQT, VLS) VDTK looks to be in the best position. I'm a strong believer in the VDTK story but sometimes it's worth getting a "reality check" from experienced AIM investors who are also following the company.
Feeks/Bananaman2: This question is essentially a reality check. I've analysed tech companies for over 15 years on the sell side with SG Warburg/UBS and have covered Samsung Electronics (100 bagger), LG Electronics, Samsung Display Devices, ARM Holdings, ASML, ST Micro, CSR , Infineon, Philips, Woldson and a host of other tech companies in Europe and Asia. I've only looked at AIM companies for the last 3 months. During that time I've looked at 30-40 companies on AIM in the tech/AI/renewables/biotech space and invested in 12 companies. VDTK is by far my largest holding. So in order to challenge my innate positive behavioural bias, I'd like to pose the simple question: on a 2-5:year view are there any other AIM listed companies that you can think of which have more upside potential or a better risk reward return than VDTK? If VDTK executes on commercialising graphene integrated SPVs what is the upside potential to the SP? Its AIM so much could go wrong, but if new CEO Rob Richards delivers, what is the potential blue sky scenario?
If the Parageag JDP does succeed in commercialising GISPVs with mid 30% efficiency what would be the verticals that would open as new markets? Laptop PCs? Apple patented the design for solar powered Macbooks in 2014. Would GISPVs enable VDTK to take mkt share in the mainstream SPV mkt? I know it is just hypothetical at this stage but interested in everybody's thoughts.
I think the tick up in the SP could be due investor reinvesting profits from SYN (+500% yesterday) into other tech/AI/biotech companies with sub £50m mkt caps. A lot of them (ODX,4DP,DDDD,PYC,DMTR) are on the move today.
Any thoughts about rival products from China? https://t.co/T2ot4vBMhD?amp=1
Bought SNG on the pull back this morning! If you compare the trial results of SNG001 to Gilead's RMDSVR they look pretty compelling. RMDSVR has arguably added $20b to Gilead's mkt cap! SNG are talking about producing 1m doses pm by YE2020 but the global demand must be many multiples of this. To fully monetise the opportunity SNG001 provides, don't SNG have to licence the product to big pharma or consider a take over bid which would be at many multiples of the current SP?
Any idea about production capacity and sales in 2020/2021 if further trials are successful? Will Acacia auto sell remaining shares providing an entry point for buyers on the opening bell?
Bunsenburner Took a position in PYC recently. Would be interested in joining the PYC telegram group
Could floating SPV be a target mkt for VDTK. It appears to be growing fast. https://www.pv-magazine.com/2020/07/15/german-floating-pv-plant-works-better-than-expected/
I'm currently looking at Maxcyte. I understand they are planning a NASDAQ listing at some point. Any thoughts on comparable cell therapy company valuations in the US and where the SP goes from here? I think there is a trading update tomorrow.
I'm not sure whether VDTK are targetting the floating SPV market but presumably lightweight/energy efficient SPVs would work well in this environment: https://www.greentechmedia.com/articles/read/oil-and-gas-companies-can-power-offshore-platforms-with-renewables
