Yes it’s looking superb and yet it is strange that we had an operations update in Nov 17 and then another one contained within the mid June report and that’s ur lot which is quite unbelievable given what a brilliant job they’ve done and yet they’ve almost played it down as though they were trying to keep it under the radar ... maybe they are who knows ? look I’m not complaining as I’ve filled my boots in the interim but it is still rather low key which is a tad perplexing as from looking at the video they must have started the preliminary commissioning one would have thought by now so it can’t be too long b4 the real action starts in Sept as they have targeted in the last Rns Whilst the shareprice has stabilised around 4p it is to be hoped once the wheels do start turning that it more accurately reflects it’s true value but well done to the team I say even if the PR boys are still working on their bit ...exciting times GLA

Just done a dummy trade buy and they are asking 3.8 for any amount and bidding 3.65 so there could be a big buy order not being disclosed which would be very welcome

Seriously anyone having a look at the new August presentation can be nothing other than well impressed with the progress made to date and with commissioning on track to start end of September does it get any better Well yes hopefully it will but it certainly is starting to feel that this is truly a great time to be invested here as there is undoubted scope to maximise the potential of this mine in a multitude of ways over the coming years making the current market cap a total mismatch against its real underlying value ...which if all goes to Plan should realistically out itself over the coming weeks and months .. I have to say having followed this story for many years it’s been a long time coming and the only downside is that it’s a great pity that the late great Kerr Anderson is still not here to see his dream materialise into what we can all see today . The progress and quality of the plant facility looks superb and with the APT price holding up pretty well we still seem well set to thrive and prosper once we actually start producing by year end .. Tbh I must confess that I wasn’t at all sure about the Oaktree deal initially but fair play to them it’s all worked out really well so far and they have mostly delivered on everything they said they would do and their timing would also appear to be spot as we virtually approach the perfect storm of growing demand and rising commodity prices if not now in the not too distant future .. which is why at only 4p this is still crazy cheap but only in my humble opinion of course - Happy days all the same GLA

Good find fella ...it reaffirms what’s been said many times b4 and reassuring to all invested here that a really well thought out process is being followed to maximise full potential both short term and long term .Clearly once the FS is out and the permits are ultimately granted it’s going to be much further derisked than it is now and things become a lot more tangible and ultimately more viable and definitive ..I’m not aware of any reasons for the permits to be a problem in any way so assuming they’re all on track there’s a lot to be excited about here over the next few months ...altho time will tell as always GLA

Strangely enough the mid price is 3.65 atm yet my broker is asking me only 3.60 to buy and yet a mate of mine his broker is asking 3.7 which explains the mid price possibly but equally suggests that most of the 3.60 trades are buys... well I can vouch for one of them that was .. weird

I’m no technical expert but if the FS was to be delayed u would surely want there to be a bloody good reason for that eventuality and having read that today I’m pretty much ok that the extended timescale will be well worth the wait . With a market cap of only 52 million and the possibility of doubling the targeted production of 14000 tons of nickel in a rapidly expanding market with the price of nickel even at today’s levels makes the current price imho an absolute steal .. I can’t believe how low this has dropped and will admit to loading up big time and nothing in that Rns today has made me question my logic but each to their own as u pay ur money u take ur chance ...and quite right too .. anyway onwards and upwards hopefully aimho of course & GLA

I’ve been invested in Atalaya mining a long long time and there was a period not too long ago where we were all waiting for sone game changing news (a bit like here right now ) which would move them to a markedly advanced stage in their move from explorer to producer and yet there appeared to be a £5k seller who as soon as the price looked like moving up ..he’d come along and sell tranches of shares worth £5k a time and sure enough whether intentional or not the price bounced around a certain price for I don’t know how long .. just like this is doing right now ...but here it’s 130000 sales circa £5k regular as clockwork and often pitched to perfection so as to time it well enough to dampen down the momentum and keep it from breaking out ... As similar to here folk were convinced it was all deliberate and maybe it was I truly don’t know ...yet much later a lot of long term holders then admitted to either reducing or selling out after growing impatient of waiting for what seemed and what probably was a lifetime for many .. and as such I suspect a lot of those £5k sales were theirs Look I realise that the circumstances here are totally different but my point is that when the news did eventually come out and it was what the market wanted and the company all of a sudden became derisked a lot further down the line then sure enough the price re rated and became a far truer reflection of its genuine value ..and so I’m pretty much sure the same thing will happen here ... but what I don’t know exactly... is when .GLA

I’ve read a few of these over the years and I think fwiw that as far as chairman’s statements go given where we are right now on this journey from explorer to producer (but about to reach a major milestone very shortly one hopes) that this report is pretty much what I thought tbh ... has he told us anything new ? No Has he said anything about the shareprice and current trends ? No but in truth in a financial results summary the comments are generally kept very matter of fact -ish and stick to the basics and that’s exactly what he’s done and who can blame him But what he has done is pitched it using a very upbeat tone throughout and my take on it after reading it thru a couple of times is that it’s pretty bullish and has a proper excitement about it ...given the rising nickel price and the anticipated rise in demand for saim metal in the future and on that side of it ... it all appears to be making for a perfect storm ... if I’m totally honest I would have liked to have seen him say the FS was imminent or something to that effect but it’s been been pretty clear from comments made by JM we are talking at least the end of August would be my take and maybe a week or two after that ..so maybe that’s why his “nearing completion” phrase was used instead ... all the same lots to be positive about here imho let’s hope some blue days are on the way very soon GLA

Well there u have it fellas ... that’s why its struggled past couple of days ...some big sells there 4 sure .. I’m still no wiser as to why any pi would be selling now tbh unless they desperately needed the cash or they know something we don’t... but time will tell I guess

I don’t profess to be really smart in any way or at least try not to ..but when the buys are showing up and yet there are no visible sales and yet the price to buy keeps dropping as it has done today certainly from mid afternoon onwards even I know ..there must be a whole raft of sales that will show up at some point later on and the picture then all becomes very clear ... and I fully accept that trades can be held back on both sides of the coin but it’s quite incredulous as to how many times it happens with this share ... and mostly sizeable sells ..ok maybe 2 million were sold in that bunch and altho it’s not massive it’s always enough to keep the price suppressed ...and until it stops it will keep bouncing round these levels 4 a little longer one suspects ...that all said we get closer by the day so GL and have a great weekend all

Spot on fella but just looking now I see 3x500k trades went thru just b4 the price dropped today so they cud have all been sells which would explain why it was in a downward trend at the time .. ur right though lots to look forward here 4 sure All the best fella

Yesterday saw the price mark time altho in reality it was dropping steadily thru out the day despite significantly more buys showing up even after the late trades appeared and yet today the mid price has dropped 0.10 on what 500k of sells ? It’s probably neither here nor there in the bigger scheme and enables anyone to buy in a bit cheaper of course but it does beg the question as to what is genuinely going on and why the sp is constantly strangled without any visible rhyme or reason For me at least the price marking makes no sense based purely on activity..and on what we see day after day ... look we all know the mms must get fed info b4 it gets into the public domain otherwise u don’t see prices suddenly dropping or rising without something officially happening a day or three later and they hardly get it wrong do they ? The reason may be no other than market forces just doing their job and lack of news does no share any favours who ever that may be so it could all turn very quickly as I think it will .. but it is just so frustrating watching this almost defy logic and today is yet another prime example so far.....aimho rant over ... & have a great day One and all

It Can’t be anything else as the price action today clearly indicates far more people buying at 4.20 down to the current 4.15 (and I should know as Ive just bought some more ) but with hardly any visible sells of note at 4.11/12 altho what puzzles me is why would anyone be selling at these levels ... it almost defies logic but they must have their reasons - u pay ur money u make ur choice so fair enough I guess

Am I missing something here cos the shareprice had dropped from 79p to 65p in 2 days foll the Placing RNS (despite the news of Bcn acquiring £240 million funding from other sources ) as the market was clearly building in a sizeable discount to what price it was going to get for the 100 million being raised on the placing. Somebody somewhere must have tipped the wink that this was the likely price or maybe even lower as the market seldom gets it wrong in my experience The confusing bit for me is that the opening gambit on today’s rns refers to something like “the continuing volatility in the commodities markets “ which in truth is relatively unchanged in the past 2 days but in Seckers comments he refers to “challenging market conditions “ which is a totally different slant as that implies to me at least that the huge fall in the shareprice was more the reason for them pulling out ... so the big conundrum now is trying to decide if the Ii’s involved had only offered to invest at what appears to be a very low ball price or whether it was entirely down to the market reaction making it totally unworkable for the company to accept in their opinion at least a fair value price -the other possibility of course is that maybe another financing offer has materialised independent of the proposed placing .. no doubt all will be revealed fairly soon one hopes.

Ur right fella for one reason or another it didn’t go ahead - but the other reality is the market for whatever reason dropped the price here to 65 p ffs and it was 80p or thereabouts on or around the funding Rns so within 2 days the market had built in a 20% discount on the shareprice which has left Bcn with no other choice as it had become totally unworkable . We all want a deal but no deal is better than a bad deal and that applies to everything in life and based on the numbers in that FS a placing at these levels at this time is not good business imho so I for one am glad it’s not happened as there must be better options around than this one and I also think it takes great courage to walk away as I’m sure that wasn’t what they were thinking originally ..might not seem great to everyone but whatever the reason I’m glad they told them to do one myself GLA

Good post fella altho it is quite unbelievable seeing the price fall as it has done these last 2 days where u can virtually buy at the same price as u can sell ..whatever the spread ..and it just keeps tumbling which does make u wonder as to what price it will settle and at what price the placing will be at ... like u say I can and will roll with the punches but I would never have summised it cud be at these levels within 2 weeks of it being at 90 p and us getting what appears to be 2 pretty impressive funding packages on the table ... it beggars belief tbh but just a case of keeping the faith atm methinks as the numbers and fundamentals here are indisputable.. aimho Glta
