RE: Deprivation of Β£2Bn UK Waste Industry10 Oct 2025 04:36
Good find pat ....
Building a UK plastic recycling industry to keep the plastic waste thrown out by householders within the country had the potential to become a Β£2bn industry, hiring 2,000 people directly and 3,000 indirectly and would also restore public confidence in recycling, Mcleary said.
Lol ye right turning plastic into plastic massive gas bills heating bills ,,, cheaper to send abroad or buy new plastic .
But his interesty are different I'm afraid , Each to there own !
This is a key growth area and has a carbon benefit because it stops the plastic being incinerated and used in energy for waste.
Ummmmm ,,, turning it back into usable plastic can be costly !!
The secret of costs is PHE a lot cheaper due to the process and sell one syngas + gate fees + heat also used and the massive BONUS self sufficient after start up ,,,
But what I like is if the loop hole was closed sending plastic abroad 40 new plants to deal with the problem would have to be built.
Good old Great Britain and there policies, at my castle we have large collections bins no recycling collection for 6 months not that they recycling much anyway straight to open furnace, land fill or abroad , bin strike still on with the good old unions lmao and the bin men are getting full pay top up by the union fund while they sit at home or picketing,,,
I will be glad to leave when my castle sells off to Spain Tuesday TG for some piece π ππ·
