Thanks for the explanation. I just wondered that because they are categorised as unknown then could they be part of the MIA shares?
A chilly but dry 10km run tonight sets me up for the week. Birthday tomorrow so I am hopeful of the 7am RNS although I've stop waking up for it recently. Another year older and although not achieved much this year, am just happy that we have managed to avoid covid.
As always wishing everyone a pleasant evening, stay safe & where possible stay home. Prioritise your contacts as much as you can so that we can all move into 2021 safely together.

Many thanks as always for your informative trade updates. I too have noticed the MIA shares and been tracking them intermittently during the day. I have noticed a large number of "Unknown" trades going through today and wondered what affect these had on the buy/sell figures. Would they account for some of the MIA shares?
It's been a beautiful albeit chilly day here on the east coast. There must be a glorious sunset over the river as the trees outside my window are ablaze with the fiery red light. (still stuck at work unfortunately and my run will just be by torchlight).
Thanks again to everyone whose posts are informative to newer investors.

Whilst I don't disagree with you in some respects, you've got to remember that not everyone will have benefitted from the same level of education as you. Surely as long as someone can convey or get their message across to you, you should accept that they may not get their spelling or grammar correct all the time. A lot of comments are often written/typed on phones. We shouldn't be too quick to judge. There seems to be too much of that recently. (I don't just mean on the BB either).
Anyway, another day over - it's dark again and chilly here on the east coast so i will need gloves for my run tonight.

Afternoon All.
The figures definitely don't add up today, whichever way you look at them. We know that the two large "buys" were showing on the share trades tab so you would think that these would filter through to the buys on the information page but this is not the case. The difference has also increased a further 250,000 since then.
Whatever the reason, don't hand your shares over just because there's been a lull in the price. Don't set stop losses that can be attacked by the MM's. Be patient and wait for the endgame.
I too am of the opinion that DLA would not have been appointed if there hadn't been an agreement in principle. This doesn't mean that they are working 24 hours a day on this but we hopefully will get some news this month.
All the best to everyone

A beautiful galleon Ian, fit to sail along the Thames at Southend for you. I will concur, that I saw it first on the big screen but then as you state, it does warp somewhat on the smaller screen. Similar to how amazing movies are great on the big screen in the cinema but less of an impact on the TV. Not that you have that problem with your large screen at home. I hope you are enjoying some great movies on it.

PP, I am bit like you in that I sold underperforming shares to increase investment in EUA. Because I believe that in the long term it will out-perform my other shares even where they have increased in value and I will be able to buy them back once EUA has been sold.
The clichés are all relevant. It's a marathon, not a sprint (or in my case an Ironman) but you don't win (or finish) at the first mile marker but at the finish line.
It's a bit of an overcast day here on the east coast of Essex today, but it's not too cold, so remember to get out and get some fresh air if you can. Yesterday I had great fun running through puddles on my training run (even though I'm over 50!).
As always, stay safe everyone and enjoy what you can.

Definitely looks to be £10,000 trades less the trading fee.
In respect of the 3's & 6's etc, you've just got to look at the share price to see that these are round pound amounts being used to purchase shares. £20 = 66, £200 = 666, £100 = 333. Probably on the free trading platforms, hence no deductions for fees.
It's fun to look at figures and see patterns although this morning I saw a sale for the same number of shares I have and panicked. Had to check that i still had them! That's why I don't read too much into them!

Personally I think that the government has done a very POOR job over Corona-virus. One of my main bugbears was the "Eat Out to Help Out" scheme. The way I saw this, was the people on furlough were getting government money and then going to the restaurants to "Help Out" and getting a maximum of £10.00 off a meal. So effectively the government didn't put £500m into this but £1000m. And yet they can't offer "Free School Meals" during the holidays. (I've often wondered about this anyway, but this year has brought it home to us a little more).
I don't think many of us begrudge contributing our share of the tax burden, if everyone else did the same. I always recall my boss telling me some 30 years ago that if everyone paid the right tax and didn't cheat it, then the tax rate for everyone would only be 10%.
Wishing JT all the best. Take care everyone and keep your contacts as few as possible during the winter months to protect your health. This year maybe a write off for many of us in what we hoped to achieve, but a bright EAU future lies ahead if we are patient now in all respects of our lives.

I posted this originally to give an IDEA of what MIGHT happen if an offer were to be announced via a 7.00am RNS using a current example that people could look at and understand.
Our deal when it comes WILL be substantially different but the market reaction/re-rate will be principally the same. This share did re-rate to 96% of the proposed offer price. Based on this there has been a sell off of shares thus reducing the price down to a level to which other investors are willing to take a chance to get a guaranteed return of between 10% & 15% if the deal goes through.
I just thought it was a good current example. Nothing more than that.
Morning all
There is often speculation about what would happen if/when an offer RNS was released. So an example of this today was Countrywide CWD where an offer has been made for the shares. Overnight price was £1.40. Offer Price is £2.50. Re-read on opening £2.40. No suspension.
No takeovers are ever the same, but I just thought I would share this with the board especially for those who think the shares would automatically be suspended.
As always everyone, stay safe. Stay happy.

Well, my buy was 4797 but that was just because that was how much money I had. I have managed to do my own Bed & ISA and will be up almost 10% on shares overall. Just a few left in the trading account to sell to cover myself.
As always, stay safe everyone . It's another sunny day in Essex, a bit chilly, but get outside and have a walk or whatever you fancy. Go kick some leaves and enjoy yourselves if you can.

I do think that the filing of these resolutions is a case of "Putting Your House" in order. Usually they should have been filed within a couple of weeks of being passed, if you look back on previous entries at CO House.
I am just waiting for funds to clear to carry out my own transfer from trading account to ISA.
Stay safe and sane everyone!
Casper
Looks like a bit of housekeeping to me. I haven't gone back and looked at the RNS's but they look to be the resolutions regarding
1) re-appointment of director(s)
2) allotment of shares - for the II £10m that was at the end of August.
Casper
The whole market is down 2.5% average across the board. There are very few "Up" shares today.
Some days you have just got to get outside and do something else! Go for a walk or a run or a cycle. It's "reasonable" weather for the end of October. (on the East Coast at least). Ring someone up who might need a chat.
If you're in this for the Sale then today's price has no relevance.
Stay strong everyone.
