Yes, we can expect Blackrock's 8.3 RNS this afternoon at 3.20pm if they undertook any share transaction yesterday, even for 1 share.
There may be no sense to us about the 17 shares that UBS had to disclose but the Takeover Code Rules are very specific and any share transaction made by any stakeholder must be reported. If you recall there were two transactions in January that UBS had to report of 2 and 3 shares on consecutive days. There was some speculation that this was a transaction to ensure that UBS were reporting correctly under Rule 8 but nothing really happened subsequent to those two strange transaction.
The only real interest in these RNS's is that BR's holding is increasing either through organic purchases or transfer's in to their management and the fact that their short position has now been closed.

NNTG2,
I think that this has been discussed previously but under the Takeover Rule 8.3 ANY transactions made by a "Stakeholder" with over 1% of the share capital has to be reported by 3.30pm the following working day. This is why we see almost daily RNS's from BR. We also have seen 8.3's from the 3 PI's who hold over 1%.
The only problem is the Queeld investment as they seem not to adhere to the Rules. This is why the Company put out an RNS last year confirming their holding.
Bearing in mind that the AC transfer of 27.4m share to Veles was less that 1% then there could be a large shareholder who doesn't need to report any sells/buys. One wonders if this why the figure of 27.4m was used by AC or is that Tin Hat view!

Noted Carlito - It's a good reminder though to others who might have some of their allowance still available and can do some of their own tax planning before 1st April. Whilst I think that the deal will be announced on or before 1st April, I do not think that it will be finalised until after 6th April now.

Carlito
If the deal was to be announced before 5th April (effectively 1st April) then would you not sell some to fully utilise your CGT allowance for the current tax year (assuming that you haven't utilised it already)?

""Limited companies and the like taking the hit in a couple of years time by the look of things, 25% corporation tax come 2023.""
But at the end of the day it will be shareholders who take the hit on this as the distributable reserves will be hit by a 6% hike in taxation. It all sounds great to Jo-Public who think that this doesn't affect them but most don't realise that their pensions and financial instruments etc are all tied in to the big corporates.

You have to ascertain whether you are resident or non-resident - the Statutory Residence Test. It all depends on number of days spent in the UK and number of ties you have etc.
Like with all these things, each individual is different and you should take professional advice if you consider that you could be classed as resident and therefore have to declare any chargeable gains.

I can't answer your question completely, but if you review the Blackrock RNS's you will see at the bottom there is often a Transfer In (or Out) of shares. I took this to be when a customer moved their portfolio to be managed by BR and that these contained EUA as part of the portfolio. So not necessarily part of the tracker index but still declarable under the Rule 8.

Not sure quite what you are asking there horse, but as a PLC any income received by the company will be treated as in previous years in line with reporting and accounting standards. The BOD have in the past not taken any salary but received share options etc.

I wonder if you have signed up for notifications from them?
The PSC Confirmation Statement is due at Companies House by 13th March 2021 for the period ended 30 January 2021. Usually these have to be filed within 14 days but due to Covid-19 all companies are being given 6 weeks (42 days) to file them.

BR "holding" has increased because there has been a transfer of assets into/under management of approx 154k.
So there hasn't been a purchase of shares.
It's just a reporting requirement of shares held nothing more.
