If any of this Mercedes news turns out to be true they will be scrambling to get rid of the last shorts. Not sure how the auction in the morning will react to this as it is just rumors.

Ok so a lot of talk about Stroll and Wolff taking over Mercedes F1 and using Aston Martin as the brand. So Hamilton would be in an Aston in 2021.
Mercedes would take a 30% stake in AML.l which would make a bit more sense of the AMG boss moving to Aston.
Interesting times but either way this stock will fly.

The F1 stuff I am quite sure is speculation but you know what they say about smoke and fire.
If this was to happen then Hamilton would be racing under the Aston Martin badge. This would be amazing.
Not sure how the rights to purchase shares in Aston Martin F1 for AML.l would work out but either way this would be incredibly good news.

Dunnie, this has been mentioned before and yes I do think Aston has been able to limit the downside by using the furlough scheme while reducing stock.
They can also keep Gaydon loses for an extended period as needed without the large wage bill.
What has not come out yet is how many people may actually get laid off after everything is started back up. It could be that Gaydon doesn’t get back to prior levels due to the production on demand model.

JT, That part of the Aston business I haven’t mentioned however I am very aware of and used in the past.
It is Called Aston Martin Works, it actually runs from the old factory from back in the day.
This is where they are making the DB4 continuation as well as the new DB5 Bond editions.
They do a lot of full restorations charging hundreds of thousands fro ground up restoration work.
It is well worth a visit if you want to see some old school manufacturing. This is one of the locations where they used to beat the panels by hand. You can actually find some old videos if you look hard enough.
