Lloyds are risky shares, period.

This company is badly run, refusing my mortgage application was a terrible decision by Lloyds. The mortgage was never not going to be repaid early. I could have bought the house outright at the outset.
Whoever decided that was a fool and how many other bad decisions were made by Lloyd’s managers?

Just about still hold the Lloyd’s account for my council tax bill, with minimum deposit needed for it, but that’s about it for Lloyds.

Is that so? Let’s see, I had £30k in premium bonds that I wished to keep hold of at the time and a decent 20% deposit on a £32k house, at the time.

As a bank, Lloyds are a bad bank, they cannot even do what it says on the tin. More of a lame donkey.
I’ve been a customer for over 35 years and always go elsewhere, largely due to it being never able to suit my needs over the years. They were the first port of call for my mortgage and they rejected my application. Huge mistake losing them my business. How many more did Lloyds make?

At best, Lloyds are a just zero interest council tax direct debit, with minimal deposit to cover bills, nobody uses for anything else. They even suggested I pay for such an account at one point, hilarious.

That is my experience.

Now Lloyds are landlords… lowest of the low and explains everything.

A dilemma. To work, get old, sell home you worked for, pay for your care and lose all yer money. Or, never work, pretend to require walking stick, doctors buy that, get free money for life, free care.

Thems yer 2 choices.

Looking on the bright side, from over 500p a share to a laughable under 50p, at this rate Landlord Lloyds will soon be able to buy back the majority of their own shares for £2 billion and still have change.

Under 40p coming, then under 30p and so on.
