Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
The Covid-19 research project is on course to complete by the end of June, with analysis shortly thereafter. Of course games will be played with the share price in the meantime whilst we await the potentially company-changing news, which is also only one of several other company-makers with news due further down the line. We can just go with the flow - the newsflow, and top up when opportunities arise.
Truth and reiteration of pending news is, I hear, the best antidote to a c-womble bite, and it's imperative to not bite back as this is the equivalent of mating, and causes them to multiply.
Further to all the great info posted overnight, I've read this morning in the NYT that Covid-related deaths in Africa climbed week over week by more than 20 percent, possibly more as experts believe the true scale far exceeds reported figures. In one county within Kenya there is currently a 23% positivity rate.
This virus continues to show us the desperate need for effective treatments, and quickly.
That's an interesting excerpt SOG, thanks.
Long Covid is causing so many different symptoms, some of which are much closer to auto-immune conditions than others, and the long covid clinics are often turning people away as just don't know what to do with people. Interestingly it is often people who were otherwise well, and weren't hospitalised by Covid, thus an even greater number of people potentially.
Apologies if this is already confirmed/been discussed, but given the potential for TYK2 in patients with auto-immune conditions I would have thought that there is immense potential for it to also help people affected by Long Covid. The numbers of people suffering from Long Covid are already in the millions in the UK alone, and growing by the day. Whilst there is very little definitive research about what actually causes it, many sufferers exhibit auto-immune type symptoms, and increased sensitivity/allergies, suggesting the immune systems has remained in overdrive.
There is a lot of pressure on the UK government to do something about Long Covid, and also to classify it as a occupational disease, so if TYK 2 could help, they would be very happy!!
Just to reiterate some statements from the presentation, for those who are at risk of believing that an SP of 6 or 7 pence has already factored in all possible good news. These statements purely relate to the multi-billion £ or $ market associated with Covid, and for which development is likely to be expedited hugely, whilst supported by the UK government, and possibly others. I am setting aside the enormous potential of first-in-class products for cancers and auto-immune conditions for now, but clearly there is masses of additional value there too, for any positive results later this year.
"SDC-1801 reduces the levels of cytokines associated with ARDS in human lung cells infected with SARs-CoV-2" ie Covid, the thing that has shut down the world, caused millions of deaths, caused huge economic losses, and which keeps mutating to create variants which are more and more transmissible, and may or may not be covered by the current vaccines.
"Encouraging results with SDC-1801 in initial cellular studies co-funded by UKRI (studies looking at the aforementioned Covid). You don't repeat the word encouraging if results due in the next 2 weeks are indicating otherwise, as that would be misleading.
"Experimental phases to complete by end of June and data analysis to complete shortly thereafter" That is within 2 weeks!
Worldwide patents with a huge market for a successful outcome, government-backed Covid research with news due within the next couple of weeks, strong hints as to the positive nature of the Covid trial, a HNWI putting in £2.3 million (so far) within the past couple of weeks, presenting our products at a conference today, shortly before trial results are due to be analysed and announced. Furthermore, the government are desperate for more good news on Covid, particularly anything which originates in the UK... I think it's pretty clear why there is positive sentiment here, and no amount of furry litter-lovers will change any of the above.
Someone else said the other day that it was them on Twitter, but I can't remember who...
The programme I am looking at on their website doesn't say that, and they've been tweeting all day in line with the speakers.
I was just drafting the same post in my head whilst getting the dog ready for a walk!
Of course this is news, how could it not be construed as news?! And use of the word 'showcasing' is hardly likely if there is very little/negativity to report. They could also have focused on its primary uses and not mentioned the effect on Covid symptoms if those results were looking shaky! I would say this is where it all starts!
Great to be able to top up at low prices again ahead of them 'showcasing' to the world via the conference this morning!
Hotblack - we could set a few womble traps before opening the wine ;-)
WIP - II and Halifax are both showing 7.2 :-)
I was offered 7.00 on a dummy sell for a tiny amount. Not that I'm going to sell obv!
Phew! That was lucky indeed! I just did a dummy sell and was offered 6.4 then had a panic as thought I had accidentally pressed to confirm the order as computer was being a pain. Luckily not though.
I'm very tempted too...
Great timing for a tweet, whilst the negative ninny-muggins have been trying to scare people with talk of Sareum having no substance.
Exactly! There will be actual news soon enough, no need to read all the speculative and manipulative posts with obvious agendas, in the meantime.
You're always there to spam the board when anyone posts anything sensible aren't you?
This is why people are in here, and why it differs from 2011, particularly when the imminent news relates to a government-back Covid trial, which Sareum have already indicated is looking positive,
Forget the rampers/de-rampers, nasty little misogynists and homophobes (I'm looking at you Humbo or whatever else your call yourself - post reported btw). Anyone with any sense is here for the pipeline of multiple ground-breaking products which will enhance the lives of those who are suffering, and as an aside will also obviously benefit shareholders.
@TJB68 - some of mine are with II too, the 50% rule is ridiculous isn't it?! Thankfully am holding more of them elsewhere.
