yo..i visit primark manchester regularly and buy...talking with staff...they say summmerware mostly sold out due to hot uk weather.....shorts tshirts swimwear...but stores cannot get enough supplies...next trading update will be interesting....price increases will still leave things affordable....

well said phrontist..share price reduction because of boe rate rise main cause for drop...although market was more than ready for this....as you say there have been and are many woes out there..and s4 sp behaves like a sickly child..catches everything...oh dear

in my recent post i said sp was very buyable...but woops its down 7% today....hecky thump.,!

oxygen and pearles...your points are well made..the share is very much in the doldrums..

or is it?.....with every drop recently the sp has not gained any momentum...why?.

Oxygen...yes ..just what i am thinking..but i also think like scores of others that the decimation of the sp could have been significantly avoided..

Pearles..friday post ..i quite agree...in the absence of any more skeletons i do think the current sp is very buyable..very few companies are immune from economic and world woes at present and media/ad companies will suffer...

nick1234...i agree sp seems well out of line with profits..but i thinks its because of ealier governance issues..in the present world and financial woes i also think 180-200 is a very full valuation..but from here the sp seems very buyable..gla

Surrey Carrie..good post...what a weary little share this has become...an awful lot of people have been sold an awful awful long way down the river....what a disastrous carry on....i am on the sidelines but it will be interesting following this...good luck to all in here..

jedclampit.... yes you are probably right...and not a plonker...i think a lot of posters on these share boards try to put their views down in a responsible manner getting their ideas aired ...re this sp yes it seems to be trading in its lowest range (like many shares at the moment...

yes Bornemouth Tom..well said..apart from world and market woes the main reason for the dramatic sp fall was teir annoucement that they were going to set up a costly new streaming platform..and the sp has not recoverd sinse then..my view is that the media market is a very crowded one...

Pearls...your thurs post is right re credibility...market woes do account for some drop in the sp..which is making things look worse than they may be..just look at most of the ftse 100 shares..all down...good profitable companies..hey ho..where from here....sp will continue to decline in the short term(how long is that.?)..the company may not really have much to say at the moment...what is my conclusion re this sp..like most on this board ..i really dont know..

yes peachy..he would give the board a run for their money..(dont lets start on the govmt,!,

as i said recenntly..programme changes..new sports events etc will not affect the sp and may not increase profits much...the only way foreward is new management with a new vision...they need a clear market acceptable new believable strategy...what say others on here?

where indeed.....yes most shares are well down even the good respected companies...but oh dear i dont think changes in programming is going to save the sp...its a crowded market this media business...best result would be if it was taken over with cash..otherwise share price will struggle for months to come...just being realistic..sorry
