IMHO, the price is at a fair level between 4p and 6 p It rallies on good news and is sold into by warrant holders and traders, and drops back down again as a result to give great buying opportunities. The news flow is constant and good, so as an investor, everything is looking great. If you are a trader and haven't had a chance to take a profit then the usual MO is to ramp it up or get professional ramp teams to do it for you. The best way to do so is to constantly mention mad and unrealistic short term objectives, so often that they become ingrained in everyones imagination and dreams. Our Mcap is £170m which is not bad for a company which is 2 years away from producing an ounce. Given what has been discovered so far, it is reasonable to see a possibility of the Mcap being 9x this current level at £1.50b . As an investor, that is what I wait for. Its not going to happen anytime soon , but it will happen. Dont worry about the SP.
I wanted to buy this when doing my research for a pf rejig/refresh at the end of 2019.... its taken virus /oil price collapse / stock market panic etc to allow me to get in at the price i wanted... i have orders in to buy more down to 235, but i think its unlikely i will get them, but with volatility like this, anything can happen i suppose. I am also hold a good size position in PHE and AFC...
IMHO , we rallied on the back of a) quality asset , people still wanting in, b) people looking for gold related assets to balance portfolios and hedge risk, and c) fomo as it hasn't pulled back as much as some had hoped . We sold off due to a) general market collapse , b) non income ( for some time to come ) asset , funds needed elsewhere such as margin calls etc . Plenty of other reasons . GGP is a large part of my pf and happily so but being so far away from production it can be vulnerable to pullbacks , especially considering the high current MC . Volatile times are with us now and a lot worse to come I fear so keep it manageable. I have upped my precious metal % overall this last week, buying some ETC's and also producing miners. GGP is a must have in any pf though . GLA
My past failures in stock picking have only spurred me on to get it right. One definitely has to have a plan and stick to it. The amount of time I added instead of taking profit made the difference in being up or down at the end of the year. Sometimes the goal posts move, as in PHE so adding is right... VAL and so many biotech/pharma stocks only ever added waffle. i was blind to it... The much maligned down rampers actually add more value to the BB's than the never ending supply of ramptastic twats which turn up on every decent move up. Worth listening to them even if they are flogging a bear story... Keeps you realistic as to what your goals are.
Haha... You gotta laugh really. My Val down "only" 98.40% so I am way better off than you... There again Motif down 99.60% is my worst, and sitting much better are Kazera down 96.10% , Sound down 92.80% .. And I mustn't forget AAOG.. down 98%. Thankfully PHE and GGP are my reasons to stand back from the ledge...2019 was a year to forget. Despite this fall, I am in considerably better position. I guess you just gotta stay positive.
My first thoughts when I saw the exercise was that it was a CR and what a terrible time to do it, when everything is collapsing around us. Then i read it again to see it was a warrant exercise and it becomes somewhat clearer, though I would have to agree with Piltick et all that some would have been sold already. Everyone needs funds on moves like we have seen the last few days. Actually I am quite impressed with the lack of selling in this share. A clear sign of optimism. A steady day today , and I think its time to add.
Thanks to reply. Yes, I take your point. The heavy lifting is done... it just a matter of how much they find.
Cheers
Capt.
Tiburn. I was surprised to see you on here. I only popped in for a quick look. What surprises me most is how active you are. As per usual you are full of excellent information and opinions but why are you plying your trade here? Isn't this just a basket case? i thought you would be better served back over at GGP where your commentary is sorely missed. That BB has been taken over by a rebranded Mister Positive and his cronies and its a cut n paste nightmare. What is it that keeps you here? Clearly i am missing something. I would love to know
Greetings fellow sufferers. My £3115.36 investment in AAOG is current worth £62.88
Does the team think I would get more satisfaction selling them now and buying a large box of chocolates or hang on for the hope of a dinner at the Fat Duck at some point in the future ?
Price up, but on a lot of small trades, with the 2 biggest trades over the last 2 days being sales.. one 600k. i want to believe this is going to turn around.. i keep on adding but its proving money down the drain so far...
Jimiam. When researching a stock to buy, it is always advisable to see who the major shareholders are. it will give you a clue as to how long and serious their investment is. Had you been here for any length of time you will know that Mr Beetham has been quite transparent about his holdings and intentions. I certainly wouldn't pass his quality of information on to a BB, and I certainly wouldn't say what I was going to do in advance. That he enlightens us at all is a blessing. He owns shares and warrants, and is doing very well.
Jonesrichard. You should go back and read the last 500 or so posts. You have focused your attention on "trolls and paid derampers" and that they "infect this BB with their nonsense". When you look at it again, and I strongly advise you to do so, you will see it was the exact opposite. The paid ones were the likes of JohnyEvans , Oldtimer1963 and of course the rebranded Mr Positive, Bronze_age, who posted every 2 to 5 minutes with more and more over excitable "nonsense" with calls for 25/50/100p coming soon. This is all designed to get the likes of you and me to buy and so not to miss out... Meanwhile, they, or someone who is paying them, is selling . The only way to sell large positions , especially without being noticed is to do so when there are a lot of buyers... They create the demand with rampant exaggeration and FOMO. They all disappeared when the market closed. Did you notice that
? The very few who tried to caution others were shouted down, as per usual with calls of deramping and actually the number who were deramping were the smallest I have seen in a long time. A few weeks ago this board was really great. Some well researched punters along with those who fancied a flutter. Now its the cut and paste brigade who have created a whole new category of participant, those who are already losing a lot of money. We are valued on a rough correlation to what everyone hopes is in the ground. Nobody knows yet. We used to hope it was 1m ozs... then it was 2m... now people start talking of 20m. NOBODY knows... its just speculation. What we do know is that its looking like there is going to be something special down there, and its slowly being unearthed. Stay calm, do your research and dont listen to those who 'know' where its going.
Dodgemeister. Cheers and yes, most definitely absent which means either they were ramping and selling at the same time (most likely and classic P&D MO) or they are deeply underwater. Either way, it was just a few weeks ago this BB was full of sane , optimistic but realistic players. Over the last week or so it has descended into madness. Hopefully this clearout will bring some order back to the BB.
Well played Dimvestor, Stargunner, The italian and Westozboy to name but a few , who called it correctly today
The heaps of rhetoric they received from the likes of Silverbackboy and johnyevans and the other ramptwastic Mr Postives in disguise crew show you that no one knows how the day is going to play out. Anyone who caught caught up in the 25/50/100p calls who now feel a bit foolish im sure. The gold is still being discovered, and it will take until the end of the year before a proper JORC is presented. This will be much higher by that time I am of no doubt but to think it goes straight up is just idiotic. I hope most managed to hang on . GLA
Interesting to see the positive stance on Hav in the NC presentation and its been covered in depth already on here. What I thought was particularly interesting was their comments on Telfer. Clearly it is in decline and in desperate need of new feed.
"Newcrest is currently trialling Undercutless technology at Telfer, where 75% of the drawbell firings have been
completed. Key technical objectives of the trial are being met with design height and connection between the first
two undercutless drawbells achieved. The Telfer trial is on track for completion in March 2020. A second trial is
scheduled to commence this year at Cadia to build on the learnings from the Telfer trial."
This is all about Block cave mining work, a NC speciality, and exactly what is required for the deep seams in Hav. I love the planning going on here. Its all good. No more top slicing for me till 9 p
