What share are you looking at ?
The Roast boys are sure to mention BEN this weekend if they're doing a broadcast. We will see what they say.
We need something. Soon.
That's good news, Amin.
I wonder what is causing this dip today, then?
I'm still holding.
I highly doubt he would respond to me !
You're telling me to chill but I haven't sold a single share today! Lol
Honestly, I think the first expectation that it would be up and running was as early as late January with the chance of a couple of week delay due to the contractor having issues. But that was worst case scenario.
Then it fell off the radar a little.
Then it popped back on. Work was finished. Waiting for sign off. Then another RNS saying work was finished and we were waiting for sign off. But hang on. You told us that already.
Adam told us two deliveries were booked in for April and we have heard nothing since. So I'm guessing they've not been done. So we might be liable for some hefty penalties from Norfolk Southern.
They'd have turned away other business to keep the train(s) ready for us, only to be cancelled due lack of sign-off of the works.
At the moment we are a coal mine building a huge stockpile of highly valuable coal deep in the hills of West Virginia. We need an efficient and sensible way of shifting that stockpile which is why this rail news is so important; and why the lack of such news is undoubtedly driving the price down to a level few of us thought we'd see again.
Someone just bought £180k worth.
Wonder if the lack of news has been deliberate in an effort to drive the price down, scare some people out, and free up the shares needed to fill that order ?
Unless it pops through as a correction later, that's one hell of a show of support.
You make a good point, Jonesy. The running of the trains isn't actually RNS-worthy so news of the deliveries being made would more likely come as part of a Roast interview/feature or update on Twitter.
That being said, I'll be hugely surprised if the two trains have been there and picked up c. 10kt of coal each and neither Adam nor anyone else over in WV chose to pop that news up on the BCG Twitter feed.
This is where dearest Pash might be misconstruing my intentions here. I don't care if the deliveries have been made or not. I'd rather they had been, but I don't care whether they have or not. I know they WILL be. But being kept in the loop on something this transformational/significant is important to me as an investor.
Oh come on Pash.
I'm not talking down the share at all. I'm querying where the news is on the rail spur and two booked deliveries that Adam spoke about in his last interview.
Get a hold of yourself mate. I'm sorry I'm not all sunshine and roses and rose tinted spectacles at all times. As I've said before, I believe it'd be naive to be so.
I have faith. I have confidence. I have a substantial holding here. It's staying put. But I have every right to request updates on things of such importance. Such is the right afforded to you when you invest your hard earned cash in a business.
You'd rather people just sit on their thumbs until....? What? Is there a time frame for when you consider it acceptable to begin asking for updates on things? Please, enlighten all of us so we can avoid treading on your sensitivities going forward.
Nail on head, Pen. We need news of the rail. It is what is holding us back below a quid again I think. At the moment we have a sizeable asset in a coal rich location and sufficient equipment and manpower to dig loads of it out of the ground; but lack the means to get it to buyers in a quantity that is going to take this to the Next level - dividend level.
I sound like a broken record about the rail line but considering its importance to the overall success of BEN, I make no apologies for doing so.
Hmmmmmm. Someone needs some cash ASAP!
ANGS calling them perhaps.
And that's the problem. We haven't known about it. And it's very, very no longer April during which two deliveries were booked in.
But pay day for a heap of truck loads, or two train loads? There's a significant difference.
I really think Adam needs to update us somehow on the deliveries. Whether they've been carried out or not.
Not a great day across the commodities board. Nothing to worry about.
The clock is ticking on confirmation of the two (promised) rail deliveries in April though.
I wonder what would happen if we cannot/do not have the permission needed to let (presumably) Norfolk Southern send their trains to us when we have had them booked? Penalties to pay?
I really believe it is only the raip line holding this back right now. When we have that, every bit of the jigsaw is in place. Then we will fly.
I think we will be back over a quid well before a "couple of weeks".
Perhaps confidence in Adam's word is driving this up - deliveries booked for April, so photos to land next week of (atleast one of two) trains rolling out loaded with coal.
Rail spur. Rail spur. Raaaaaail spuuuuuuuuur.
Same here, Steve. I've said all along that you'd have to be pretty well switched on and VERY lucky to be able to 'trade' BEN in any quantity to make it worth the effort. It moves much too quickly here.
I'm holding, with only the occasional VERY small sell down when I need some funds.
I'm not talking it down; I'm stating facts and rationalising the dips in SP in spite of the HUGE upside offered here.
I'm here for the long run but to say the price (day to day) is irrelevant isn't entirely true. But I get your point.
