Any thoughts to why the SP did'nt drop this morning on the bad results..?
Surely Oceanwood would not be increasing there stake here, unless they were pretty sure of a return..? Hopefully the announcement of there increased holding's will counteract any bad news in the results tomorrow..
Hi knightin, regarding your opinion on SCHE landlords, I respectfully disagree, in my opinion must if not all landlords will agree with a 20%/30% decrease in rent. Presently these landlords are getting significantly more than the industry standard and therefore are well placed to take a decrease in payments. Plus the additional factor if SC are not their tenants, who will be in the current financial climate, as all care home providers are feeling the squeeze.
Have some profits which I want to lock away in a good divedend paying stock with some growth potential... could this be the one..?
If Ocupency is not down significantly when results come out, we may have a good chance of reaching the mid teens before the eShare Pricend of this month..
Hansard Global, the seller of long-term savings products, turned in a solid trading performance yesterday. Though IFRS profit after tax for the first nine months of its financial year fell 4% to £12.9m, this was due to increased investment already flagged up. More pertinently, new business premiums were up 37% to £162.1m and margins widened. Buy, says the Independent.
Southern Cross, the UK's largest care home operator, will be announcing its interim results for the six months ended 31 March 2011 on 19 May 2011.
What you say is very true.. Only saving grace may be that the company takes the opportunity next week to coment on the talks with landlords.. If there has been any progress on this matter it should send the SP back into the mid teen's.
Lets hope the support around 9.6p holds... Thanks for the update mathsprof
Is the company posting any results in May..?
I Think we may end today up..!!!
the minimum wage for adults has increased to £6.08p, effective from October. This is another extra coast for SC.. The coalition government just have not got a clue how hard it is to be in buisness right now.. this along side rising fuel prices and raw materials, not to mention the extortion rates Nursing Agencies are charging for there staff.. every thing is going up except residence fees..
There is not going to be any news in a matter of days it's going to be weeks IMHO.. M@tt as I recall you were one of those people predicting the SP to reach 30p.. Any way its going to be a rough trip and as the sailors say if you hav'nt got the stomach for it dont get on board.. DYOR @ all times
"You heard" implies you have first hand information regarding this matter, would you care to share with the rest of us your source.. Also the negotiateing time was only put in place on friday, it's only been two working days and you have came to the Conclusion that "apparently SCHE may have to settle for a lot less than they are hoping for with regards to the rent" Surely this statement is premature.
Thanks MJW, The individual mention in Sunday tele article, seem to have enough experiance to make a posite, contribution to the companys problems at this time..
What date is that taking place.. Thanks
shareitwivme, Can you tell me the name of the show that the interview was on,
QCC inspections are too perplexing.. But I would say that as a care home owner.. Buying another 5k. cant go wrong at this price IMHO.
What has sparked the drop in SP today..?
Can some one tell me when the x divid end date is for this company.. thanks in advance
