Neil22 - I managed to have the 6 euros returned to my Uk bank account last week from Coinbase. They said that I had to empty my euro wallet as I had moved to live in Spain before I could change my address. I did that, also had to scan passport into their system again but still didn't allow me to change address. I just kept going round in circles. They are pretty hopeless I think but at least the 6 euros was returned! I'll be glad when more exchanges are available for fiat currency.
JTillit - yes, same as Lolster. I had to pay 171 for the 3 CICC companies. I had shares in Selftrade dealing account, ISA and also a few in Lloyds share dealing. It doesn't matter how many accounts you had them in just the 57 per CICC/CICG companies. This is all I've had to pay.
Hi Lolster Yes, I had an email towards the end of October and paid the 171 to the designated bank account. Hopefully it won't be long before we get there. Stuart seems to be very busy.
Aymesco1 - see macnai's posts (Wednesday 14.36 & 14.32) re the 57 to register the certificates. Also, mentioned in shareminder's post (Friday 19.17). I have requested my certificates from Stuart but haven't been told anything about the payment yet. However, I'll obviously be pleased if there isn't one.
shareminder - I've also asked Stuart for digital certificates and he is sorting it out. I'm with Selftrade who seem about as much use as Barclays in this respect. Hopefully we can get them accepted by IG or someone else once listed.
shareminder - that's exactly what happened to me a couple of months ago after I opened a Lloyds account. They ended up sending back the request to Selftrade. Also I opened an account with IG and was similarly told that they wouldn't be able to deal with a transfer of CICC/CICG stock. Selftrade are continuing to say that they won't be able to deal so it seems that we are all going round in circles until something happens, i.e. an actual listing when we can pursue other brokers that may deal with the company in Frankfurt.
keyap - that's more than I have! Selftrade have completely removed my shareholdings in CICC and CICG. The latest answer from them on 11th September was that the shareholdings had been removed from their nominee account and that it was the responsibility of the company registrar to sort out any new share certificates.
havegun/KonarA - thanks for the info. Hopefully slowly and surely we'll get there! As far mentioned earlier I think it was Beaufort that were saying the same re having to deal by phone. I don't mind that if we actually have the stock re-listed again.
keyap/havegun - when I spoke to Lloyds and they told me that I couldn't deal with CICC etc. on their account, this was information that had come from Halifax dealing as, as far as I am aware, they are pretty much one and the same as LLoyds. The plot thickens.
keyap - I had the same problem with Lloyds. I asked them if they dealt with the Frankfurt exchange initially (when we knew that CICC were re-listing) and was told that they did. I transferred my dealing account from Selftrade but was then told that I wouldn't be able to deal with CICC/CICG (same as you). They returned the CICC/CICG stock to Selftrade where it still remains (although not showing). It seems to be getting a bit of a nightmare finding a stockbroker who is going to deal with the re-listed CICC/CICG.
Thanks again. I'll have a look at the CICGold website. Can't wait for something to turn up at Selftrade. lol.
Thanks KonarA. That's good to know. Please post on the board of any further actions if you don't mind. At least if you've received some, something must be happening!
It would be very nice if it does Lee. I've just dipped my toe in over the last 2 days with a small amount.
KonarA - ditto here. I have just checked in my Selftrade account and have nothing showing there. I will be messaging them shortly but doubt I'll hear anything until next week. Presumably these are the 'replacement' shares that Stuart told me about.
It seems as though people with Barclays are now starting to have the problems that I had with Selftrade weeks ago. This is the message that I last had from them some weeks ago: 'Thank you for your message. Please accept our apologies as there seems to be some confusion in regards to your CIC stock. I can confirm that as we are unable to hold this stock electronically within our service, your CIC and CICG stock are to be withdrawn into your own name in certificated form. Both these stocks were transferred out of your account on 19th June and you will be receiving the share certificates shortly. Please note that there will be no charge.' I haven't received any share certificates as yet but was advised by Stuart that Selftrade would receive 'replacement' shares on listing which would be able to be transferred to another suitable broker. It does seem a bit confusing.
Fascinating stuff mrJimV. We could be in the right place at the right time hopefully?
Hi keyap - since posting at 13.37 re transfer from Selftrade to Lloyds, I have just looked on my Selftrade account. The CICC/CICG shares have disappeared altogether from both dealing account and ISA although remaining shares in my dealing account that is being transferred to Lloyds are still there. It looks as though, following on from their secure messages, my CICC/CICG shares will now be issued to me in my own nameas share certificates so I wait with bated breath. Hopefully not too long and I will be able to transfer the share certificates into the new Lloyds facility.
Shareminder - I am in the process of transferring my dealing account from Selftrade (including CICC and CICG) to Lloyds. I think that they are tied up with Halifax. They have said that this is ok currently. The only thing that cannot be transferred is CICC(DI) shares which apparently do not have any value and can't be traded on Crest anyway. I also have CICC/CICG shares in my ISA and obviously once listed on a European exchange they will have to be taken out of the ISA wrapper. At that point I am going to wait for the share certificates from Selftrade and transfer them to Lloyds dealing account. I'll post any further relevant updates when they happen.
I have had a reply to an email that I sent to Stuart Bromley a couple of weeks ago. He asked me to let him know which Broker I was using as he wants to make sure that everything is ok ready for trading in August.
mrJimV - I've had a couple of phone calls this morning re Cicc (DI). I am transferring my dealing account from Selftrade to Lloyds Bank Direct Investing and included CICG, CICC & CICC (DI). I had communication from Selftrade that the DI (Depository Investment) shares are 'in limbo' at the moment as they cannot be dealt or transferred or anything else through Crest. They told me that as there doesn't seem to be any definitive time for anything to happen to these, they can't be transferred to Lloyds. They (both Lloyds & Selftrade) are happy to transfer the CICC and CICG ones. The reason for transferring my dealing account was that Lloyds do deal with the Frankfurt exchange as and when CICC and/or CICG are listed there. I was told that these depository interest shares are quite specialised and that not many companies will deal with them. So, I wait with bated breath to hear more from anyone about these particular shares.
