Cambay Production Re-start Update

The Board of Oilex Limited (Oilex the Company) is pleased to announce that following a final court order issued on 13.12.21 and received by the Company on 14.12.21, the previously imposed production cessation on the Cambay field has been removed and the Company plans to resume gas production in the near future. The two currently active wells, C-73 and C-77H will be placed back on cyclic production and the gas will be processed and exported through the existing production facilities and pipelines.

Oilex's Chief Executive Officer, Roland Wessel said:

"This is an important milestone for the Company. Production has been suspended for the last 3 years and the re-establishment of gas production and associated revenues is the next step in monetising the significant gas resources in the Cambay field."

And those assets listed only give them 1.03m Oz. For a £120m MC.

Though they ARE close to production in one, they’re still not that far away from us in terms of resources (plus the obligatory comment that battery metals aren’t included for us!)

There’s a few more of those mega-trades to come over the next few days.

Supports my thinking of a seller rather than placing though

It’s funny because I was listening to the recent interviews again this morning and thinking the same thoughts as you guys. “What are we missing?” “Where is the catch?”.

I said exactly the same thing on the Zephyr Telegram board last December when it was languishing with a 2m MC and an SP of 0.9p

It’s now around 7p and going from strength to strength.

I guess it’s a case of the market catching up with us. Every time it dips below 22p I’m buying more; I’m looking for life-changing profits - and I’m not expecting to wait years for them.

But the value of each share has increased by x100. So, status quo maintained

Surprised you say that an additional 700k Oz would be disappointing.

Listen to last week’s interview and then calculate how much they’ve drilled this time compared to the previous that gave 1.015m Oz. From memory I think it’s around 22k vs 37k.

If we have 700k Oz extra it will be fantastic. I’m expecting it to be around 450 indicated and 150 inferred.

If expectations are unrealistic it has a detrimental impact when good results are released.

It’s just sitting within a range; we should flip between the current levels and just over 6p for a bit, then we’ll break out in around 2 weeks - the question being, which way!

They need to be published within 3 months of the end of the reporting period, so anytime from now until the end of Sept. So, within the next 9 trading days.

With Covid ‘gone’ and oil prices rocketing, we should have some great cost savings allied with increased utilisation and revenues.

It’s been eerily quiet recently and the worry is that they’ve something up their sleeve to batter us with, but maybe there will simply be a positive update that will kick us on to 6p and beyond. Fingers-crossed…

Is it possible that the final reference to “scheduled for completion in Q3” refers to the drilling programme and not the MRE?

Makes sense to include only end of year numbers as they’re in the public domain. Are there more recent numbers already RNSd that they’ve ignored?

Similarly, the fund raise is out there. That’s why it can be referred to.

It’s worth checking out ZPHR if you’re looking at something ready to pop. They’ll be producing at least 1500 bopd by the summer with 11 more overlying reservoirs still to be tapped. Great BOD too.

Defo worth a look as they’re fully funded now and unlikely to come back for more now they’re a producer.

I guess the market was expecting higher TGC%.

The co themselves previously suggested a number of 7-8%
