Miner Condor Gold is working on what it hopes will be Nicaragua's biggest gold mine within three years.
It owns a 110 square mile site in the country and a recent independent survey suggested there are at least 2.4 million ounces of gold there, capable of yielding 150,000 ounces a year.
This is expected to be revised to around three million ounces in total, which would imply annual production of nearer 200,000 ounces, worth around £200 million.
The group already has 80 staff drilling and assessing the cheapest and most effective way to move to full production.
Condor is expected to start production in 2016 and sales of about £100 million are anticipated that year, rising substantially afterwards.
While not for the cautious investor, the stock could prove highly rewarding for the adventurous
