agree i dont like share buy backs, you see some companies buy shares back then award directors lots of free shares that way the pi's get no benifit what so ever. any shares bought back should be totally cancelled and not held in kitty and any director should have to pay full asking price for the shares they purchase out of their massive salarys. not sure what the policy is here but you see it happen else where
Never mind long-term incentive share rewards for our non performing bod as per last RNS best they pull their fingers out on what they get paid already and start getting the share price up. If ever I come back in another life I want to be a director of a FTSE firm it's megga money for old rope
Smart move by the bod cashing in some equity off the back of the massive share price rise of k. 200 million not to be sniffed at as this money can be reinvested in other projects whilst still holding a large stake in k.
I wouldn't read to much into takeover talk, in the many years I've been doing shares very very rarely does a takeover happen like this, usually a takeover comes out of the blue when you least expect one and usually when the company is doing very well
Long term one would think that majority of profit will come from overseas sales so on that front sales were good. I bought in at 14.56 and i wouldnt surprise me if it goes lower as you know what MMS are like turning the screw but fingers crossed long-term it will come back. I see ag Barr has a very high pe as do diageo as drink companies always command a high pe plus at least we have a near 10% growth. As I say wouldnt be the greatest shock to see MMS screw this down under 12 quid but I am here for the long term
Yes can sometimes be a bigger picture going on behind scene maybe mm's need some share before next stage upwards. I am hoping this will turn out to be another growth share like shire was. Smart people running this and excellent how they have lots of different things going on so they are not putting all there eggs in one basket.
i sold out here a while back, just felt that every share woodford has had anything to do with seems cursed with bad news the past couple of years.
Just make your own minds up, ignore the this will open up 20% no nothing brigade and all beware of derampers
adamk i surely can's see £20 today that would be a 30% rise, could be about 16.50 on open?? fingers crossed lets wait and see
I bought some today but let's not take it for granted this will jump big tomorrow. A wise head once said to me never second the guess the market. Fingers crossed we get a good bounce but nothing surprises me in this game. Shares are like snakes and ladders they fall quicker on bad news then they ever rise as fast on good news. Good luck to all holders especially long term investors who have took a real kicking this week
Yep will be like living back in the 70's if labour get in, then we will see real poverty not the make believe fictional stuff this current shower of labour keep talking about. Bring on the Corbyn, McDonnell, wrong bailey, abbot and thornberry wrecking ball
That fool Corbyn won't get a majority bon his own but if the Tory's don't get over 320 odd majority then Corbyn will be begging sturgeon with a snp independence vote and swinson lib Dems with a stop brexit vote into a 3 way coalition. This trip would wreck the economy
Oh great if the bt share price has not got enough problems these hard left fanatic Labour party wants to take control of bt will this Labour party stop at nothing. God help us if people ever vote this lot in power
Tranter, i just see your post asking where all our council tax etc is going and why nothing is maintained anymore, the thing is 30% of the council tax we pay goes towards the over bloated pensions of ex council workers. If labour get in they will probably do what they did last time and employ tens of thousands of public sector jobs all paid for by the taxes of the private sector who could only dream of the pensions these public sector people get. If labour get in get ready for union power and lots of strikes again. They will nationalizes everything then nothing will get done due to strikes. God prey Corbyn and McDonnell and wrong bailey don't get power
had to visit local hospital the other day and by the amount of people i saw smoking outside the main a and e main doors plus the hundreds of dog ends on the floor i would take a pinch of salt about terminal decline. add on the massive population explosion predicted for the next few years and would that still mean terminal smoking decline. that being said the markets need any old excuse to smash a share these days and it will probably be no different come tuesday. these mm's seem to love jacking up the share price of a p/e 50 plus tech stock but sink a p/e 9 multi year profit making billion cap ftse 100 stock.
Love you if it had slipped your mind last time labour was in power they bankrupt us and left a sarcastic note in the treasury office saying no money left. Are these the sort of clowns you want winning the next election??? The Tories have spent a decade clearing up the mess left. As for the snp they didn't mind risking crashing out the UK when they had their independence referendum, but then got the cheek when they say we are "crashing out the EU"
