I would think that the only vessel of importance is currently vos paradise. I would also expect that the long wire equipment has been delivered to the rig now as they did say it would be expedited within two week.

Blythe is littered with wind turbines and the majority of vessels in the field are to do with the turbines. They said the intervention would be complete before end of Q2 so there will be an RNS next week.

Tell me about it. But it’s one of them shares that’s really worth a punt though. The infrastructure, assets and potential is massive and its current valuation is based on failure(IMO). If them ifs manage to break through the buts it will be a multi bagger.

It’s all about the gas price now. If the gas price was 79p at the beginning of last week the RNS would have been a bit different. If (big if) the gas price rises from here there is breathing space. Suspect the bond will be renegotiated as I can’t see any sale of assets realising enough cash to satisfy the bond holders. Cal energy will also end up with significant losses too. I can’t see a buyer wanting to take on that debt neither. The big players are not interested in these smaller fields.

H1 is the only current production in fact its probably just been shut in for the hook up to H2. Sometime next week H2 will start producing and that will be the only well producing. Elgood, A1,A2 & H1 will all remain shut in.

A little rough but as a guide I add 4 zeros to the mmscf/d them multiply by the rounded UK gas price in pounds. its a couple % out but it allows you to quickly do the maths in your head.

30-40 mmscf/d is 300,000-400,000 x 0.8 (gas price in pounds) = £240,000 to £320,000 per day.

I get that it doesn’t mean everything is good but I am taking the positive that at least gas is flowing from the new well. Hopefully it’s going to be the 30-40 per day that’s expected.

I think you are making a little leap there mate. We can only make assumptions. Personal I think the well is drilled and we are hooking up but it’s only my best guess. We don’t know for definite that we are there or that it’s issue free. Fingers crossed.

Throughout drilling operations the Vos Paradise supply vessel has been in a support role keeping a safe distance of around 0.5 mile from the Blythe platform and the Noble Hans Duel drilling rig. Every 4 or 5 days it comes very close to the rig to transfer supplies, normally for period of an hour or two. This could be for anything from fresh food, fuel, spare parts and specialist drill fluids etc. It also make frequent short hops back to Great Yarmouth to re-stock.

In the past when Vos Paradise spends extended time alongside the drilling rig (I'm talking for many hours plus and on and off for days) its been followed up with an operational update telling that they have been tackling drilling issues.

From observations during these drilling issues its normally joined be the Skandi Captain which is based in Aberdeen, I assume the Skandi Captain is more equipped or specialised to deal with some of the problems.

On the Operational update 2nd May "Safe hook-up and commissioning of the H2 well is expected to require 3-5 days of planned downtime in both May and June respectively". Well for the last 1-2 weeks its been like Piccadilly Circus at the Platform with Vos Paradise spending so much time alongside Blythe and the drilling rig.

The positive I take is that there has been no sign of The Skandi Captain and no RNS reporting issues. So IMO the well is fully drilled and we are somewhere in the process of the hook-up.

We won't see anything like 20p even if the the flow tests beat expectations. Current uk gas is at £0.72. So the rapid payback of the expected 3 months on this drill is long gone now. Interest rates are through the roof now, so the bond interest is likely not far off £1m a month (it is something like 8/9% + European bank base rate).

Whist I look forward to drill result and a SP rise I expect it will be short of 10p for now. However I would love to be wrong.

Yesterdays RNS suggested drill was continuing however there has been no support vessel at Blythe since Sunday. I am pretty sure a support vessel has to be there for drilling operations to be carried out safely. Can anyone with industrial knowledge enlighten me?

You would think, but yesterday morning I couldn’t get a £11.5K buy and had to do a £6k and a £5.5K

I’m with HL and have managed a few 200k share purchases but it’s alway been a struggle needing many attempts at getting a quote. 100k shares are easier to get quotes for but still a bit difficult.
