ASND was another example of a well considered investment by MAFL at the right time. I'm looking forward to seeing what else in 2023 is worthy of investment.
Ideon was another good example IMO, the recent cash investment they have seen by Playground Global shows others agree with the future potential of the business model
Half year results this week.......hopefully a rebound due. Good to see the share buy-back has been taking place and well timed by Howdens as more shares taken out of circulation at this price.
Taken from MAFL's EOY update ..........."Golden Sun Exploration has achieved a very important watershed as the Costa Rican government re-instated
its mining licence on its BellaVista mine. Originally Golden Sun’s BellaVista was solely an Open Pit mine,
but the new license allows it Golden Sun to increase its mine production and use CIL extraction technology.
"The mine plan call for higher grade underground mining. Golden Sun has been producing on a small scale as
it bulk tested the ore with small scale heap leach technology. The net result is a more environmentally prudent
and responsible means of extracting or producing gold and dealing with the mining residue. We believe that
the next 12 months should lead to the next step upwards phase for the BellaVista Mine."
Looks like things are progressing nicely - Golden Sun will become a major beneficial investment for MAFL IMO.

MAFL continue to prove their well considered and timely investments in the mining sector which is positive. Someone mentioned Dividends - personally I would rather trust the MAFL team re-invest and continue to grow the value of the business as it looks towards establishing the true value of Lagoa Salgada which for me is the jewel in the crown of MAFL.
Cant fault this share and like most on this board understanding the long game is important.
I'm a newbie here ad decided today was the day to jump on-board.
It was the Wyld latest RNs that made the decision for me, very interesting position they are in.
One question I have for those that are more familiar with IOT as i'm no expert is this .....
Is there any significant synergy in the solutions which Wyld offer and the other TERN businesses and would anyone see the potential to merge some of these businesses into a single stronger entity ?
Just probing so value your thoughts ...
Absolute stonking set of results, every crucial metric in the right direction. Howdens have half a £billion sat in the bank !. Good to see that the year has opened well with sales compared to last year up again quite significantly. Growth plans look entirely realistic based on a demonstrated plan so far and its great to see that after exploring European depots that Howdens has a model which is working well in France and backed for expansion. I will start the bidding early - what do people think.... could this be a 2.4bn business by this time next year
You are incorrect losealot. Accieslad made a correct statement regarding the purchase of a 2nd worktop supplier to expand their offering in solid surface products. Results out tomorrow. Question is how much over 2bn is the turnover ?
Same to you Boracic. Looking forward to what should be another great year for Howdens. With anew marketing campaign starting and proof that they have the systems and processes to deliver whilst others are struggling Howdens are ideally positioned to continue to grow. I'm not sure when the FTSE100 gets a re-shuffle but I look forward to them jumping in and the additional exposure that will bring.
