From BusinessF1 magazine, current December Issue:
Multimatic Motorsports, the Canadian company responsible for the majority of the development and build of the Aston Martin Valkyrie is being blamed for ht e continuing failures to deliver any cars to customers. The car is now almost 4 years late and none have been delivered to customers despite continual promises. Aston Martin insiders are now reporting that it is unlikely that any cars will be delivered before the turn of the year due to ongoing but relatively small problems. But this is not a given. Completed cars are said to be o the factory floor awaiting delivery with niggling but vital problems preventing them from being shipped out to customers.
Meanwhile at Multimatic, a whistle blower has alerted the management of Aston Martin of quality shortcuts in the development of the cars. This report in unconfirmed.
In the Aston Martin quarterly report last month, Tobias Moers stated that “era-defining hypercard, Valkyrie productions is scaling up with first customer car completed and deliveries starting in Q4.
Deliveries of the Valkyrie are vital to Aston Martin’s satisfactory end to 2021 financial year, Moers said.
“A significant proportion of expected full year profits relates to the number of Aston Martin Valkyrie and AMR Pro vehicles due to be shipped in the fourth quarter"
