Thing is Jonah...These ROM.agreements are only any good so long as they are honoured by the 3rd party and that the 3rd party is capable of continuous commercial operations over the period of the agreement.

This is JLP's biggest problem with not being the actual miner, if the trucks stop, everything stops as per DCM.

JLP need years of ROM in situ otherwise they have much much less control over their operations as an actual miner has.

This is a a problem that JLP had hoped to solve by buying all the tailing dams from the obscure contacts out of BMR's black book but they didn't work out to have as much grade as they thought... JLP at the time quoted as saying that they had 0.50% grade which because of JLP's ground breaking process would be the equivalent of 2grams a tonne.

JLP need security of reserve assets to ensure continuous production... Secured at third party sites is not a reserve, as succinctly demonstrated at DCM.

You'll never get a decent multiple without multi year reserve in situ.

Roan needs at least 5 million tonnes at commercial grade on the ROM pad before expanding refining capacity. We've already seen how devastating it is to production when you can't supply the refinery with commercial volume.

Apart from a 400 million book value and potential 30 million a year divi if we get kor working and paid off, which is equal to 3.75p per share on the enlarged issuance.

Kor might fail and we'll limp on with Yan with an even larger issuance until the debt is repaid. Or Kor might return what we hope it will and you can look forward to getting your money back every 3 years plus capital appreciation.

Regardless of anyone's individual sentiments, those are the only two outcomes imo and as slow as progress might be, I believe that the risk is weighted to the upside.

There is a possibility however that your interpretation of the state of the company isn't a shared consensus David. Especially given the insider trading at a price that is now a significant premium. Unless of course we discount the opinion of the finance director Thomas Hill and the ex RBC commodities and capital director Ernie Nutter. Generally speaking insiders selling is a much more solid indicator of negative performance than insiders buying is.

The only worry here now for me is fuel issue in Guinea which is undeniably out of Dan Betts' control.

Jammin... Both the RSI volume flow index are accumulative volume indicators. Basically if it's a green day the volume gets rotted or deducted on red days. With last day of the calculation length dropping out of the calculation as the latest day drops in.

So if the share price is topping off with the volume measure falling it's a really good sign of a future correction as volume precedes action. Conversely when the volume indicators are rising as a price is bottoming then that usually indicates a rerate is coming.

The more volume indicators you have that demonstrate divergence over the share price trend, the bigger the conviction and correction.

Well that's the idea behind it anyway. Watch a few YouTube videos about divergence on YouTube then go and look at any historic charts and you'll notice it as plain as day.

A price can trend in divergence for a long time though, so you're also looking for unmatched intraday lows or higher low for the confirmation.

Given that it's a non exec role but one of importance for check and balances, I'm pretty sure they'd be able to hold the role without breaching terms of the major shareholder restrictions.

The company had already stated that the diesel only effects the actual mining capacity and had subsequently the mining had been halted until the diesel situation improves... They also said that the diesel situation doesn't actually effect the processing of ore and the ROM pad is sufficiently stocked to keep the plant at name plate capacity.

However that means the ROM material being processed is all the low grade stuff.

So we're looking at the 5k for Q4 as being the best we can hope for but no surprises there. We're now essentially into the mid Jan period from Monday so we should start herring news over the next few weeks of both the mining fleet going back at it hopefully and the Q4 with 2024 guidance.

Personally I think they'll delay the 2024 guidance update though, until the juicy high grade is coming out of the back end of the plant.

All in all...the end of Jan should clear up a lot of the current unknowns about Kou.
