HGN... need to keep in mind that Argo was woefully under capitalised when it listed UK. A bubble in pandemic saw many investors including directors sell to substantial profits. Even PW mentioned in recent Blonity youtube. His best ever investment he called it. Back when he sold, claimed it was to diversify. No... it was to sell at a staggering profit. Along with ALL other initial significant investors. I won't be popular... but our Pete is a bit of a chameleon. The opening bell was cringe and more spin than Moeen Ali. Argo has leveraged its equity to pay for construction, issued equity on NASDAQ and taken on debt to fill the coffers again... and some of this capital will be used to pay for Opex (big leccy bill) and salaries(growing). Think of it as a grand national winner back to do it for a 2nd time. IMHO, it will... but operationally it will be end Q1 / Q2 before investment gets into share price. And only then if rigs actually arrive this time round. Patience with this one is needed. Time well spent thinking if BTC is an inflation hedge and geopolitics of crypto generally. LT HODL.
@Tiger16 - reason for hedge fund selling ?
@ArgoBull - I'm addressing this to you - but if anyone 'knows' I'm interested to hear.
Don't the market makers have a role in setting price. For example - opening price higher than prior day closing price (+ve RNS, macro news etc etc). So why do the MMs not raise the price with BTC rise. It's not just about supply and demand for shares.
@LTInv - humour me - the question is why is it undervalued.... and why the inverse correlation to BTC ATH ? What would you attributed the SP to ?
@ArgoBull... same here. I'd be responsible for HL and Hfx being listed.
I see VLRM did +105% (earlier today) and is now +5%. That's going to leave some nursing 50% losses whilst yesterday some were 100% winners and others were 200% winners (earlier today). So is ARB red down to PI hot-money chasing the next hot stock?
@MrGibbins67... what 'plausible' theories ??
@Argo - yes I recall this. So given HL nominees is not on ARB website or Morningstar, they've all sold or there's a data glitch ??
@ArgoBull... should be on the Morningstar List and isn't. Should be on ARB website.... and isn't. Conclusion ??
There's no double-counting as such. The system that pulls the data pulls a Tier 1 and Tier 2 organisationally. Ain't smart enough to understand organisation structure. Here the holdings for Amplify Transformational Data ETF under Amplify Investments LLC. Pity ARB not higher up the holdings list. But same as RacingCyclist's earlier post Mara seems to be flavour of the moment.

Miton makes sense being there as a placing participant, but the others, lord knows where they come from.
And what of nominee accounts?? PIs invest via Hfx, HL, AJB, other platforms, I would have expected at least one nominee account to be on the list. Heck 25,000 shares is 0.01% and that gets on the list. At that rate Bull Market should be on the list (in a nominee account).
@spaceman - you're not quite right. During 1Q21 it's c.74million or 24% increase since Dec-20 to Mar-21. That includes placings, consideration shares, warrants and options. Don't get me wrong, I'm disappointed today. Why the SP does not show more enthusiasm for BTC rise is hard to explain.
@VirtuallRich... whilst you have a point, unless the SP shows some signs of life in response to a very exciting rally in BTC price... there is no chance of becoming @ActuallyRich
It's a Bank Holiday today ???
A very fine post BangerRacing... solvent abuse is very damaging !!
JMK knew a thing or two... did you come across any crypto specific wisdom ??? ;-)
I've topped up at 224p and as BTC went over $62k I bought again... for less at 223p.
Someone tell me the world is flat and I just dreamed the last 13months... I'm ready to believe !!
@Glads57: a slightly sour undertone to your post... to sweeten it up (more like jam)... may be ARB planning some M&A ?? ;-)
An interesting decision for PW will be whether to / how to exercise right to retain 25% equity in Pluto when it IPOs ?? How much additional capital would ARB need to invest and at what price..? Having the warrants in the back pocket is good to be on the right of the dilution (for once). Although all seed investors I suspect will have warrants. PIRES for example does. Listing prospectus will be an interesting read for those keen enough to get into the nitty gritty.
@DSFLAT: DPN LLC New York (merger) for initial equity ($5m) comes with a $100million debt facility. In the RNS, the debt facility has been earmarked to fund Texas. I'm not sure to think of selling warrants so soon after an IPO makes much sense does it ??
ahha... figured that might draw you out from the rough ;-)
@glasir.... you should tell the bike dissenters... "to be on their bikes!"... golfers probably ;-))
@phoebus: you sock it to 'em ! :-)
