When I 1st invested in stocks and shares Volex was a company I spotted in the paper on a Sunday the year was approx 2002. I'd notice they had gone up 25p and could see they were releasing results on the Thursday. I invested on the Monday believing those in the now knew good results were expected and they didn't disappoint. My point is Volex are going nowhere they have been present for years and will be for the foreseeable future now matter the outcome of this takeover. For me it's a solid outcome and I've backed them and will see this through. I'm no expert but I see a SP of £5.50 in 6 months

IMO even if a takeover is agreed the SP won't fall off a cliff because for all those investors that sell out there will be others who will wait and buy in.. Volex last set of results shows it's a growing market. But it's about opinions and at what level of investments are made, I just see so many investors making rookie errors. Just an opinion which isn't set in stone

The reality is if your a LTH then this short drop in the SP shouldn't be alarming, I see so many so called LTH sell out at a clitch and completly miss the bounce.. If your watching the price every minute of the day then unfortunately you will miss the big returns. It's what MM love the most. If your in your in accept it's not an easy ride but those who hold firm will reap the rewards.

Just responding to Glowacki.. If on the 13th NR decided to make an offer official then it starts all over again so this could drag on for a while yet unfortunately.

Sorry its just a proposed offer not an official offer, they have until the 13th to make their intentions clear. But still no interaction with the TT board just the major shareholders I guess hoping for them to nudge the TT board to engage in discussions. Hopefully TT will release a statement reaffirming they have Zero interest

Yep, agreed. A Rich child is used to getting there own way unfortunately and hate being rebuffed. I just hope he has the sense not to drive the company into the ground to feed his own appetite. The acquisition makes sense but only on agreeable terms and not being pushed to the point it damages the momentum.

The worry is that TTG have openly stated they have already rejected a significantly higher offer than the proposal from Volex last offer, so it's going to take a monumentous offer far higher than the last proposal. Which will be bad news for the SP.

I'm sure today would have been meetings with advisors, accountants, solicitors etc discussing next steps, although judging by the response from TT they have zero interest in a take over at this time. Hopefully get confirmation of withdrawal in next day or 2.

Well they have until 5pm 13thDec to either increase the offer or pull out, until then investors now I think there will be a weight on this SP. IMO
