Did anyone else pick up on the fact Hyundai are supplying 50 hydrogen fuelled lorries to be used in Switzerland starting this month.
With the trains and bus trials across Europe looks like some steam building up in the roll out of Hydrogen.

As for world recession that is certainly possible but you ignore that fact normal economics was suspended in 2008 and fiscal expansion may well continue for ever .
Th USA have done everything possible to avoid any talk of recession since that time as it is political suicide over there.

1;Every government in the world is in the same financial position regarding Covid-19 .
2;It is a fact the Uk is borrowing money at negative interest so will pay back less than it borrows.
3;Hydrogen journey is only at the start company price movements are irrelevant in a long term roll out that has just started.
4;Companies involved in Technological change are always overpriced e g Apple /Tesla /Amazon etc there SP does not reflect their profits either.

Seem to remember years ago there were several companies involved in tidal power generation that all went bankrupt because that could not make it work and the Welsh government lost a load of money getting involved in this.
Might be better and cheaper to buy geo-thermal and hydro generated power from the Norwegians as we do through the inter connectors when needed .
We will need this extra power when 6 million or so BEV s plug in at 6 pm every night or else we won’t be able to watch nightly drivel that is the BBC news.

Stanners77 you have hit on a very good point in that I do remember seeing a prototype Hydrogen JCB digger somewhere so tractors can’t be far behind.
There is no way you could afford to put batteries in a combine harvester /beet harvester and all the other farm machinery that roams this land .
If all the Suffolk boys /girls on here have a count up of what they can see I am pretty sure there is a huge market out there for agricultural machinery to run on hydrogen at some point.
No need to worry about 5G out here barely got 3G /4G but the pigeon post always works .

Been out in the sticks today no phone signal and barely 3G network to connect to internet,Suffolk problems.
Not much sign of any of that BEV charging stations out here .

Tesla have managed to say that in 3/4 years they should be able to produce a cheaper vehicle.
The problems with battery weight / power / price availability of raw materials don’t seem to be going away anytime soon.

I think we all have to oversimplify as you could write about this for hours the gradual change has started with wind and solar which was in the same position 15 years ago as Hydrogen is now IT took heavy World wide government subsidies to get those industries off the ground to a point now where they are nearly self supporting and there has been some spectacular failures along the way.
We are only just at the beginning of the Hydrogen economy so best hold on to your hats for the ride.

Yes the Saudi are making vast investments and building their mega -city to move away from a reliance on oil but oil production will be with us all our lives ,looking around my living room I would say every item from the paint to the floor has crude oil in it .

The real power is global corporations and absolute monarchies who have billions of dollars and massed ranks of lawyers to oppose any idea or technology that does not fit their agenda.
There will be no complete change only a gradual one until the last barrel of oil is pumped out of Saudi this was said years ago and it’s as true today as then.

You either hold for the long term and short term market noise is just a buying opportunity or you are a Speculative short termer just looking for quick profits on any share.
If that’s the case short termers should not post crap putting off others .
