Indeed, apologies, I was being very over simplistic! It will be a good conumdrum to work on if/when the time comes.
I can't see it either... Have you got a link to that Sagacity?
I do agree, but on the flip side, POLY do seem to be opening up more production sites, so will be increasing revenue that way. I've now got 70,000 reasons to see how well they do over the coming years, so fingers crossed they do well. My average is about 150p, so If they pay out 50p a share that's still a 30% yield. I would hope for more over time though.
I'm not suggesting that POLY will start paying out £1 per share this year. It'll take a while for things to stabilise, even assuming Russia stop trying to steal land from the neighbours. Give it a couple of years though, and this should be a dividend star for those that hold from now.
@Newdealz - it's not to do with 10% of anything. The dividend was running at about 95p for 2020 and 2021. The gold price is coming back up so it's not unreasonable to expect that if geopolitical events are resolved that the dividend will go back to aprox £1 per share.
If gold prices move up, or when POLY bring more production online , then you'd expec the dividend to move upwards from there. If gold prices drop or inflationary pressures on production move up, then the dividend would drop.
As things stand, if you bought shares at todays prices you might reasonably expect to be paid a 30% yield when dividends return to normal.
Another 50,000 share purchase through @ 318. The price is holding up better than I expected today. I wasn't thinking it'd offer "sub 220 slurps!!??!!11" but a consolidation closer to 300 than 320 maybe. Happy days if we stay up and move up.
2021 was 95.94p
In recent years, Poly have paid annualised dividends of -
2012 20.48p
2013 5.346p
2014 13.4609p
2015 14.1752p
2016 20.708p
2017 32.8617p
2018 37.042p
2019 50.5666p
2020 94.2735p
It would not be a surprise if they swiftly get to paying £1+ annual dividends
50,000 shares bought @ 317
Sharepad
Total volume for the day was 1,516,176
There's a buy order sitting at 310p for 50k shares though - hopefully one for the morning
volume up to 1.4m, so well above the norms
After a rise like that and the share being so overbought, of course it will drop back a little. Hardly a surprise. 3pm often seems to be the best buy time too fwiw
I think you need to work on a different packet. 600k / 250k does not equal six times the normal volume. Were currently at about double normal volume and will probably end at about 3-4x normal volume
601000 so far today. Average is probably around 250k
""If you look at investing.com it shows you the price as the most recent transaction, either buy or sell. It does not show you the midprice."
Wrong, the number is the midprice, not the trade price. It is the same feed all live platforms have from the exchanges.
My guess is that somebody is buying in order to bring parity with MOEX. Therefore, the top of this looks like being in the 375-385 region."
You really do talk some utter twaddle. I can watch the trades going through and can see Investing.com going up and down to reflect those trade prices. Why do you spend the day commenting on a share trade forum when you obviously know little about the topic and probably don't even invest? I'd best get back to ignoring the troll.
If you look at investing.com it shows you the price as the most recent transaction, either buy or sell. It does not show you the midprice. It's like watching shadow puppets - it's not a true representation of what's going on. Maybe pay somewhere for L2 and you'll have better information to work on.
I've been trying to buy this morning but had no luck. I have been trying at the low end of the ask though. Looks like pricing is slipping back a tiny bit now, so fingers crossed.
I'm waiting for this sub 220 buy in point. It's bound to come!
