RE: The update21 Nov 2025 06:47
Personally I really could not give a flyin ferluk if you like me or not, like my posts or not, those that are most blinkered typically show their hate..
As for Angus, well, I maintain that SLBY was in the beginning full of potential to really set Angus up, as small as SLBY is, it had all the potential to be a game changer, unfortunately there were immediately far too many wanting to get their snouts into the trough, and it has never stopped.
The end result is the honeymoon production period was wasted, the deals were so bad it was almost cheaper to borrow money from a back street loan shark/payday loan.
SLBY was not just a baron field, the 3 wells that produce today EXISTED, they simply just needed to drill a small sidetrack in one of the existing wells to significantly improve recovery and production, ONLY for them to turn it into an industry debacle, a total mess, and only achieved less than 1/3rd of the planned leg, that took the longest time & cost in UK land ops industry history.
The dilution never stops, the decline has at this time kinda been held off with the compressor, but the compressor has not really delivered real additional production, and they kinda ran before learning to walk in that they SHOULD have looked at velocity strings FIRST, to help counter liquids production, rather than install a compressor to FORCE its way to where it sits today.
They sit in DEFAULT of a small fortune to their various lenders, royalties, stake holders etc, and gas prices are stagnant, well below previous winter prices, add to that the payday interest is snowballing, and the result WILL be continued undermining of the asset, and nowt for retail, NOWT I tell theee !!
