I meat to add, is a mm possibly accumulating shares to fill a large order? any ideas?
Does anyone have thoughts about what seems to be a fair number of sells incl one at £15k but the share price is still at 30 for a sell?
TW's opinion was that the placing was at too low a price, causing unnecessary dilution. But it does mean the company is well capitalised to deliver stock to Boots quickly. I am holding my shares, this does not seem like so many small AIM stocks, to many of them are all hype and no substance.
I don't know for certain but if the placement was not to bucket shops to flip it is probably to a mixture of existing investors and close associates, who know the company's potential.
I think it means the broker placed the shares direct with an investor, or investors, maybe institutional or wealthy PIs. I see that as a good positive signal for CPT.
High risk dodgy companies are of no interest to institutional or wealthy PIs. Shares would be placed with bucket shops at a massive discount, to be flipped to small PIS in a hard sell. I experienced that with Beaufort, before they were closed down!
If any investor now holds in excess of 3% there should be a notification.
The 10,000 is definitely a roll over, it is a large amount so someone is confident! You don't have to pay slightly more, instead you can buy back slightly fewer shares, it's what I used to do, either way pays transaction fees. It avoids putting in any more cash to fund the rollover.

No definitely not. To take such a risk you need deep pockets. If the shares fall you have to sell at the end of the second T20. It is very stressful and although you can make a lot of money for very little outlay, you can just as easily lose it.
After a year of doing rollovers I felt lucky to have broken even and stopped doing them!
You may be right, when did someone buy so many share in the first place? But it does have the hallmarks of a roll over, apart from the very large sum involved!
I am happy holding here and whatever the two transactions are, they have not materially affected sentiment or the share price.
I don't want to get into an argument but I have done roll overs many times. The reduction in the share numbers pays the broker's fees. You are selling and buying back almost instantly which the 2 times so close together suggests.
But whatever the transactions are I think they are very positive.
If you mean the 2,235,000 and 2,200,000 they are almost certainly a rollover. If so it is a big vote of confidence to be holding on probably with a T20.
Who are they selling to? Looking at the string of trades today there are 252 for PHD compared to 28 for CERP and 7 for CPT which are 2 more of TW's recommendations. This suggests it's PIs buying, despite some chunky trades that could be more selling.
As others here have said, once the selling stops and with strong PI interest, it should go up a lot.
Why are they selling? Large holders may have been looking for a company offering solid growth and prospective good dividends. PHD may no longer meet their investment criteria. I see that as good for us.
The price is already recovering, on Level2. it looks like small PIs like us see a buying opportunity.
I have just bought 60,000 and I paid 3,67p. Will it show as a sell? At some point this will be spotted by more than the small number of followers here, maybe even get a press mention over the weekend ant it should go a lot higher very quickly.
Hi rarseinababylon, I know it is not really funny, in the past I had a similar problem and understand lower back pain is debilitating but it does recover. I hope you recover quickly.
Thanks for the info rarseinababylon. A bit preoccupied, you clearly have the English skill for understatement.
Conversely, could It suggest Minto need to get rid asap and would welcome a quick sale? Perhaps the problem for PERE is still raising the cash?
Thanks. No problem ripley94, one good thing about this BB it remains courteous and friendly.. despite the frustration!
I meant to say, to be fair to ssmith he did what he advises you to do!
The BoD are very likely to be bound by a confidentiality agreement. There are two posts that give a glimpse of what might be happening and both are positive as far as they go. At lease no news must mean the deal is not dead. If that happens the BoD must issue a RNS
See the 2 posts on Feb 1 and Jan 16.
All other posts are spec, often reflecting understandable frustration at the lack of news. I don't assume the BoD are totally incompetent, just that their hands are tied. But that is a personal opinion, others think differently. I just prefer to be hopeful about the outcome and imagine it will be stunning, eventually! We'll see. Good luck to all who wait.
Thanks for making the call, the response is what you'd expect but at least it is "very positive" rather than cautious., ie failure expected!
The silence is frustrating but it is not a sign of failure, it simply suggests negotiations continue but must remain confidential.
You cannot read anything more into the long period of no news.
