Maybe it just got slightly overbought in the last couple of months, had such a solid rise for most of the year and as Housebasher mentioned seems to be declining for no reason at all! Has been a tough week for Prop stocks in the last week thought tbf, a lot of over-estimated valuations around. Lets just hope the last couple of months has been nothing more than profit taking, time will tell, not worried here though with results like that!
Interesting how the share price has falled (albeit slightly) with todays RNS, seemed overwhelmingly positive to me. Announcement of a largeish dividend anything to do with it? Definitely going to be another strong year next year for BDEV!
I'm certainly wishing for that. Its been a strange day, dropped on hardly any volume, spread widening a lot, Nairobi still rising. Literally who knows......... Confusing the life out of me atm. Just a hold and hope now for me
Still rising, sitting well over 2p equivalent now
Of course, this is clearly good news, I just don't think its wise to start visualising targets as high as 3p when there are no numbers on the table. I assume the latter paragraph is a hint to AFPO? Maybe Esprey will go on that podcast now and divulge a few more deets!
This is all dependent on further news. I don't feel like the company have given us much in that last RNS. Need a lot more meat on the bones for this to fly. Obv this is good news and I'm not trying to deramp here just saying that without a single number in the whole RNS its hard to get excited, could even be interpreted as slightly worrying that they haven't given any indication as to true nature and size of this venture.
Care to elaborate?
Not sure really how relevant this is but worth a mention: http://www.capitalfm.co.ke/business/2015/10/im-holdings-to-acquire-65pc-of-burbidge-capital/
Thanks a lot both of you, makes sense. I'll look on youtube!
Still relatively new to the lingo on here, what do you mean when u say that the Market makers are sitting above 1p.
Some big sales going through late yesterday and this morning dragging this ol'boy down! Spread is as tight as I can remember seeing it for a long time, anyone got any theories as to why that is??
I completely agree, good to see the SP hold its ground when the trades have been almost all sales this morning, albeit relatively low value. Especially encouraging considering where we were a few weeks ago at 0.5 and also since volume has been very low since the events of last week. Like everyone keeps saying, it's all about those contract wins now. Lets hope its sooner rather than later.
Hopefully we may finally see some proper movement again here. Its contract news we need, especially while their cash position is still strong. Encouraging to see Nairobi listing on the rise again as well. Still settled at around 4.10 KES (0.03 GBP).
Down to 2p now as well
Unfortunately looks like down! How are these 'sales' going through red, surely no one is selling at 0.91.....
ADSS falling another 10% in today's session, sitting at 4.05KES (0.03GBP). Cant quite decide if this is encouraging or worrying. Obviously the previous value it was trading at in Nairobi around June time was ridiculous (nearly 10x what it was here), but I'm struggling to rationalise this information. Anyone seen anything like this in the past? Is it adjusting towards the LSE listing or doing its own thing? Why is it only now adjusting when this arbitrage opportunity has existed for months?
Yes I agree, especially what blue said about the volume. There were lots of sells early morning yesterday and the effect was minimal. The spread is tightening up nicely as well. A nice strong run into the end of the week would allow me to rest easy over the weekend in anticipation of this news....
ADSS currently at 5.55 KSE on the Nairobi exchange, spelling a 7.5PC drop today alone. Equivalent value now leaves ADSS at 0.03GBP, which is near enough everyone's target value. Seems to me like the NSE listing is starting to approach fair value. There's been a lot of volume traded there today which I'm assuming is comprised mostly of sales. Has anyone got any more info about what's happening on that exchange at the moment, its proving difficult to find good quality information?
