OTBR I've spoken to them a number of times today and it boils down to this - We can make more money loaning out your shares than we'd dare to try and charge you for buying those shares. End of.
I also have holdings with Close Brothers, they don't lend shares. My GGP will be with Close Brothers before Freetrade get the chance to loan a single one.
I'm thinking along the same lines Matty. I want the 5% deal based on the 20/30/40 million ounces that gets talked about here, not what is or isn't in the MRE. I'm happy for the two to be disconnected, although I'd like to see the MRE sooner rather than later. But SB and SD know what's down there and 'the deal' doesn't have to be JORC compliant.

I know that Dillon, but we haven't even started the negotiations yet as noted in the interview. SD must be under no illusions regarding Newcrest's intentions if he's ready to go to arbitration already and more importantly happy to tell us that via Proactive. I'm still happy with my holding and I'm sure my targets will be met, albeit slightly delayed.
In last night's interview at 24 minutes SD said "we put forward values and ultimately that goes through an independent process", no ifs or buts. SD already knows that we're going to arbitration. I don't know about Newcrest playing with a straight bat, I feel like they're playing with a baseball bat.
I just read the last line of Dip's reply as "adds to the excrement", I need new glasses. Although my misread may prove to be prophetic if the usual trolls show up :)
