Particularly interesting to note this morning that RBS will relocate to England if Scotland becomes Independent. They will no doubt join Standard Life. They say they would be too big for such a Scotland. Should give the dreaded Sturgeon something to ponder over!

This Bank has stated that if Scotland becomes independent RBS will relocate its head office to England as it will be too big for Scotland. I gather Standard Life are thinking the same way.

Looks like the dreaded Sturgeon will be left with no fishing industry, a nuclear sub base she does not like and a few cases of Scotch. She really is something else.!

I remember I think 1974. The ftse 30 as it was then had collapsed. Telegraph had a headline capitalism had ceased to function and said invedting in shares was dead. Actually a good indication of a bottom. Within 6 weeks the market was up 50% its always darkest before thd dawn. Do not sell in a panic. If a share is goid vakue with fine fundamentals all will be well.

I live in Italy who cannot stand the euro currency. This morning I bought a bottle of J and B for €10.90 why is it so expensive in UK. Surely our drink duties should be equalised.

It does seem that Scotland is hung up on Brexit. The population of Scotland is rather under 5.5 million. 80% of its expirts are to England. So tthe EU is a total irrelevance to its economy. And now Sturgeon in spite of her name is happy to sell out the entire Scottish fishing industry without demur. You could not make it up. You will note my name and my father was killed in WW2 fighting for a Scottish regiment.

You say you want a no deal brexit averted for obvious reasons. They are not obvious to me. I.e. no transition period, no back stop, immediate trade deals possible. Seems to me a much quicker method of sporting things out.
