Matt - indeed ‘when to exit’ is the key, too often greed gets the better of us, I first got out at around 97p and was fortunate, I re-entered in the mid 20’s but just over 30p the warning lights came on again so I got out. This thing is far too volatile and and a lot of risk built in, so good fortune with your plans
I suspect there’s a touch of the ‘Last man standing’ here, the other two players have taken action on the divi and there’s a market expectation GSF will have to follow suit.
The problem for such thinking is that it totally ignores the very different model of GSF, I think when that becomes clear this will settle
We know the shares are tightly held so it doesn’t take much to move it. We are now at a price many who took it up at 15p are looking at a 100%+ profit and they are happy to take that to avoid any risk.
It’s news we are waiting for, whilst the SP rises are nice, we should expect some selling along the way
I made my 100% way back, took my initial stake out and left profits to run - currently up 44% in ISA (smaller holding) and 30% in SIPP….. tempting as it is, I’ve waited a long long time for this and as much as it’s probably been my most frustrating holding, it may prove to be my best!
Think folk getting way ahead of themselves on the speculation front; the new guy hasn’t come in to see it taken away in months. The takeover of Capita would be far from simple and I don’t see it on the cards at this point
