I’m fairly well diversified but with a few holes to fill out. Easy when you’ve been fortunate enough to catch a bagger to think that’s the way to go…. Experience has taught me otherwise
Stokey - getting more churlish by the post! To date Harl (in present manifestation) has no record of building ships for MOD, it all rests on the future performance
As regards records they were 6 months late building barges never mind destroyer’s!
X - Paranoia getting to you? I would imagine commenting on a fb group might depend where you live or in this case many from all over the country who visit?
Careful with your last para…. Getting a tad close to reality there!
Kaeren - another getting tiresome with the wee jibs. 79 was Harl’s figure at the point of taking it out of receivership. If you think that’s ‘many’ then fine. It simply said ‘workforce’ it’s reasonable to assume many of that number would have been involved in maintenance and security at that point. We are well aware of what Harl then did.
People seem to forget shipbuilding was not the initial plan, as stated to the BBC and Infra shareholders at the time
But you can convince yourselves otherwise if it helps your delusions
From the BBC at the time: "It says it will retain the 79 workers who are still employed, and hopes to increase the workforce by "several hundred" over five years. It initially plans to focus on metal fabrication for the Islandmagee and floating gas storage facilities''
