Avignon think I was wrong in thinking these bills were separate, have emailed the article author to see if he can confirm clarify. We do need both passed though but I see no problems as Bill was of Governor Walkers pet projects after he originally vetoed payments in 2016.

I suspect now simply HB331 is House, SB176 Senate the latter still with finance committee.

"If HB 331 passes the House, it would need to be taken up by Senate Finance, which has yet to hear the companion bill, Senate Bill 176." Looking at text seems as if HB331 & SB176 are mirror bills. Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +11 to 1,032 rigs U.S. Rig Count is up 11 rigs from last week to 1,032, with oil rigs up 9 to 834, gas rigs up 1 to 196, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 2. U.S. Rig Count is up 155 rigs from last year's count of 877, with oil rigs up 131, gas rigs up 23, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 2. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 1 rig to 19 and unchanged year-over-year. Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +1 to 86 rigs Canada Rig Count is up 1 rig from last week to 86, with oil rigs up 4 to 37 and gas rigs down 3 to 49. Canada Rig Count is up 4 rigs from last year's count of 82, with oil rigs up 10 and gas rigs down 6. Pangzi2, I understand your feelings and I understand your point of view. However.. Dave has more invested in this than most of us, so surely he is the most motivated long term, forget "our" short term. Dave's job is to run a business, not keep individual investors happy. Can you imagine the screams if the quarterly had come out showing only +$1.5 mill in the bank, the howls from shareholders would have been deafening. The calls from non-holders would have been a lot worse. What would you rather have? A company cashed up in 2 days for the year, or potentially broke in 3 months? Cheers happy Friday.

Petroleum News The House Finance Committee has passed out a committee substitute for House Bill 331, the administration�s proposal to issue bonds to pay for oil and gas tax credits. The bill moved to the House floor May 2, immediately after the committee action, and was held to the May 3 calendar. Legislators have been concerned about the issue of whether issuance of the bonds would be constitutional, an issue raised by Sen. Bill Wielechowski, D-Anchorage. The Legislature�s legal division has told legislators that it cannot say with certainty that bonds issued under HB 331 would be constitutional. Both the Department of Law and the state�s bond counsel have argued that the bonds would be constitutional. In a lengthy April 27 letter on the issue to the co-chairs of House Finance, arguing that the bonds would be constitutional, the department noted that the letter was not a formal opinion by the attorney general. �We note that if the bill passes and the process toward issuing these bonds is initiated, no bonds will be issued without the certification by both the Department of Law and State bond counsel that it is the respective belief of each organization that the bonds are permitted under Alaska law.� If HB 331 passes the House, it would need to be taken up by Senate Finance, which has yet to hear the companion bill, Senate Bill 176. SB176 is relevant to us.

Cjml no doubt the institutional investors got a bargain but many here have bought cheaper earlier in 2018 and late 2017, some are obviously trading and are hoping to make more money plus I wonder what the minimum investment in the CR was million plus dollars? probably multiples. As I have said before look at the last shareholder offer follow the SP during that period and I think the disruption we have now is a small price to ensure the financial position of the company in H2. Of course the traders and the naysayers will try to take a dividend but that is all that it is.

Can see many are willing an SP fall, they understand that the price just now is completely immaterial and would like another crack at 2p or less so they can trade more profitably on the SP rise as we approach well opening. Some fairly blatant, some just a slight drop in optimism, well its a way to possibly make money. Always best to start from a base of disbelief, nothing is a "given" here.
