Just (09:42) dummy sold 2M shares on HL with absolutely no delay in quotation so not sure what is going on elsewhere, as far as I am aware of the seven MM registered to deal in 88E (and not all are actively dealing ) and that is were all brokers will be getting quotes from so why the difference in service levels?

Every share has it risks, even the largest public companies can be rocked by scandal , be bi passed by changes in technology or public taste or just circumstances outside of their control (Covid-19 , Biden etc).

Like most junior oil & gas explorers early promise gets tempered by reality, we still have potential game changers but Alaska is tough and the risks very much there.
I did make the point that for me at least Charlie-1 's real worth will be if is instrumental in attraction a FO partner for the conventional asset and possibly for unconventional.
There have been plenty of opportunities to make money at times on this journey even since Charlie-1, those who bought at 0.3p or less have had had the option of taking profit on a number of occasions and many probably have only to come back and complain ;-)

and show no "special" trade type or late publication details so looks good, hoping that we can see a positive in SH overnight.

I do not recall the Company stating that Charlie-1 was a "fiasco" :-)
The companies view is that Charlie-1 substantially increased our knowledge of the potential hydrocarbon pay in the Seabee formation in particular and cores taken also confirmed the HRZ at that location.

Ultimately it was a well paid for by PMO and after their pull out they relinquished any w.i. rights.
The proof of the pudding is if we see a FO to further test the leases, hopefully winter 2022 and not short term market reaction..
As for the Merlin permit to drill, we had announced (21st Jan) that snow road construction had commenced and then within hours had to announce that the Department of the Interior had changed the rules of the game and suspended the authority of local BLM departments to sign off permits, mentioning a potential 60day delay
At that point the Company had no option but to suspend operations - snow road & rig mobilisation preparations until we had certainty that the drill would be permitted within the winter season.
Unlike a few posters I have no idea as to what effect this actually had in terms of work in progress lost, crew demobilisations and actual time to re establish operations.
Had it been a normal situation where by the BLM arctic office had responsibility we would as we had done for previous drills completed ice/snow roads and mobilised the rig to site confident that "Permit to Drill" would be available when required, the early signing off of the permit in reality made little difference in the making up of physical time lost.
Can not comment on the two day delay between scheduled and actual spud date as we do not know at this time why the later spud, however taking into account the 20 hour delay between Sydney and Alaska the ANN was pretty prompt.

11:52 No think it is a question of time now with just seven weeks to latest time on "ice" my view is it just a case of practicalities, even if we drilled we would be unable to test.
Both wells have been part of the same project going through BLM approval, if Merlin was approved by Senior Officials authorised post Biden then there should have been no logical reason for non approval of Harrier.

06:51 frustrating, but and particularly if Merlin "comes in" we may be in a position to combine Peregrine (Harrier) and Umiat Working Unit obligations U#29? next winter , with the likelihood of COP getting back into "oil rich" Harpoon things could get very interesting.
Couple that (hopefully) with activity on our other prospects and we may all feel a lot happier.

08:51 I too was surprised at the "cost jump" but without knowledge of all the various facets snow roads, rig mobilisation etc, it's difficult to assess, I am sure the company took what ever steps it could to minimise extra expense , as for Harrier it has been increasingly obvious that time was getting tight to complete this winter.
Been exceptional and perhaps unexpected events beyond the companies control, even if it was possible that a new President may have any different ideas you can 't stop what you are doing "just in case" - unless like some you have 100% hindsight and even then don't mention anything until after the event ;-)

22:20 it's not just two days but an accumulation of days lost due to the permitting delay that meant ice road equipment was stood down, although we could be and are actually planned to be on the ice until the last week of April we are in a position were if Harrier was actually drilled it would probably remain untested, like you I hope that Merlin is good enough to encourage us into winter 2022.

09:22 Yes we may be seeing a different management style.
As you rightly say the rules of continuous disclosure do not require regular operational updates to be made, the plan has been set out in an ANN and unless there are major deviations then the company is at liberty to announce as when it deems fit.
Personally I would have liked confirmation of spud but perhaps we will have to wait until the surface casing and BOP are installed as confirmation that first stage is complete.
Just guessing really :-)
