@Boix..... lick your wounds man and move on, posting on this board is just going to intensify your bitterness.... concentrate on any other investments you may have.... life is too short...
Guys, Boix is obviously hurting bad, he took a loss when he sold out when the SP was dropping like a stone, and then took out a short position at around 24p, which if he hasnt already closed for a loss, isnt looking that good at present. Now he is bitter and wants Cineworld to fail so others feel his pain. In some ways i feel for him, as i dont want to see anyone lose money and prior to selling he was a fairly positive poster. At the end of the day, each one of us is responsible for our own investment decisions, good or bad, and we should own it.... hear endeth the lesson.... gla and DYOR
Morning fellow Ciners, been another fun filled week in the world of Cine..... so what do we think will present itself next week.... On SP at Monday close hopefully no RNS from Jhango confirning they are still in the game when they could have sold at the mid 60's for a good profit (think their SP average is around 35p) a big positive, on Vacinne's by Wednesday hopefully a formal positive announcement by Moderna, and maybe before next weekend an announcement of covenant waiver and debt restructuring, leading imo to a good rise in the SP... anyway enjoy your weekend and as always DYOR....
Trump due to give a press conference within the hour on project warp speed and distribution of a Vacinne.... could be big news and boost the SP for Monday perhaps...
Given what is happening in the US at present with Covid I would say unlikely, but come say February when hopefully a roll out of the vacinne/s is underway and cheap rapid testing is available, imo this will be the time to open up shop with a great slate of movies and a hungry to go out and watch population.... Mo0ky knows this as do the lenders and film production companies. Happy days ahead in my view.... gla and DYOR.
@Ianharding.... i think your right and its now about timing. Imo Mooky may want to choose a time for maximum effect to punish the shorters who imo have at times destabilized the company, through driving the SP down, but you could also argue that it lessoned the likelihood of a RI....
Moderna SP is up another 5% at present... while the nasdeq and Dow are down...
No move on the short %....
Ian / Prayfor et el..... i agree and thats why i jumped back in, imo this will fly upon positive news on a waiver, no RI and positive Vacinne updates... think tomorrow / Monday will also be interesting to see if Jhango remain in...... and lets not forget the fact that the large institutional holders are / appear to still be in and this should give us all some comfort as to the company's future. Anyway gla and DYOR....
Could well be M00la... perhaps he will time it with the Oxford Vacinne update....
Imo i think we will hear something on debt waivers etc before the end of November.... the fact tgat Mo0ky is almost encouraging WW to be pushed out into next year tells you he is comfortable with negotiations and a positive outcome....
Hi all, am back in @ 44p.... gla and DYOR...
Hi all, with HSBC still being unable to buy Cineworld shares for a client (online and also over the phone), can you advise the best 3rd party to use please.... sensible responses appreciated! cheers.
What a week we have had.... fantastic news on a Vaccine, stock market goes wild and we hit an SP price not seen for a while, then a re-trace and today treading water but with a short % reduced a little. So what now while we wait on waiver news and further Vacinne updates... perhaps a further reduction in the shorts, and it will be interesting to see if the recent short positions taken at around 23 to 25p are closed, imo the city is an old boys club and they look after their own and therefore I expect a trace down a bit more before bigger news hits to let shorters get out without getting too burnt, so perhaps we could see the low 40's over the next week or so, and then with an emergency approval of a Vacinne and confirmation of a covenent waiver towards the end of this month a rapid rise towards a £1... although i could be completely wrong of course, but if also the likes of Jhango etc are still in come this Friday / Monday latest then i think we are on for great profitable times ahead.... gla and DYOR
Short position reduced by 0.09 to be exact but still in..
AHL partners have closed their short .09... all good.
Like some i sold my shares at 64p ( well timed i guess).... and basically took a minor loss, not back in yet but looking to. It feels great to see the shorts getting burned, and some shorters on here have been damn right obnoxious.... so i have no sympathy for them... gl all LTH....
And disney bad news regarding Mulan and general losses may strengthen the case for cinema and help the Cineworld SP as the straight to PVOD experiment would be shown to be financially unviable.... imo..
Hi Ian, yes Disney and the release of their results on the 11th i think will be interesting, some feel if it is dire the top guy may want to deflect by putting a positive spin on the future.... and maybe some diversification...... who knows....
Evening all, ignore Jack54 a newly made account and assume a deramper.... imo expect a coming week of calm and little movement for the SP while we await news on the waiver and financing for Cineworld....
