Interim 2021 Earnings Release is due on the 25th of August.

"Petrofac made payments to an agent(s)."
Basically as commission for winning the contract(s) for Petrofac.

For those interested in the direction of the sector should look at "VanEck Vectors Oil Services ETF (OIH)"
The sector has been on a downward trend for years (same as PFC)
Recently this trend has broken & now has a yearend forcast is for 700.
PFC has not broken it's downward trend yet but it is only a matter of time.

Probably a wise decision considering the price hit the downward resistant trend line going back 8 years.
Also the oil price has turned volatile with the Indian situation & OPEC increasing production in May, June & July.
I am waiting for the SFO hearing in June until I get excited again.

But it states oil is a low price. Its not a low price now & it will probably be going up from here.

Well to be honest it should never had been so low in the first place.

Considering a financial group are willing to lent £700m to a company apparently worth half that according to the market cap tells the full story.

This financial group obviously have valued PFC at alot more & willing to back that with real £££.

These shorts covering seems to correlate with end of day trades of neg- sales than a pos+ sale.
For example at 16:38:54 we have a negative sale. -775,038 along with a positive sale.
So If my theory is correct more short coverings has occurred today as well.
