We haven’t received the court decision yet! Hopefully it’s positive and then everyone will be happy especially shareholders. However I cannot really see how we can sue the FCA for essentially doing their job, whether or not their timings of doing so could have been better.
Yes I have to agree with you Senator, the outcome will be binary, either the gutter or the stars.
Paul Scott is from Stockopedia. He has been really positive about the stock recently. Today he has advised : I think both would be very attractive new floats, which institutions may well snap up. If the valuations are decent, then ELTA shareholders could see a lucrative payday in the next 6-9 months. Hence I’m very happy to sit tight and await developments.
This is why most PIs lose money, they overcommit themselves, they invest more than they can afford, they take unnecessary risks, they don’t think about what they’re investing in, they don’t do sufficient research, they listen to the BB too much, they want a quick buck.....the list goes on.....
Lloydboy the Judge doesn’t carry out his own investigations, it’s not like the court dramas on Netflix. He will base his decision on what was argued at the hearing. Having said that, I am sure it will be a positive outcome for all.
Well done ISA what an amazing job you’ve done today. Who needs line of duty when we’ve got you on the case with the constant updates. I feel as though I e run a marathon and I’m just reading your posts! Much appreciated.
This mornings RNS said: Pending an announcement of the Court hearing's outcome, the Company will request the suspension be lifted. It depends on whether the judge decides tonight or not. It may be a reserved judgment.
A court case hears both sides counsel before a decision is reached. Each side pits their best arguments forward and the judge listens to them asks questions and makes a decision on the law based on the facts and circumstances and has to be seen to be diligent and understanding the issues through questions. . This is no different to any other court case. Wait until the judge makes his decision.
Thanks ISA much appreciated. This ought to be serialised as I’m on the edge of my seat! So what essentially comes down to is whether the percentage of those who voted are representative of the total number who could have voted despite having the opportunity to do so.
Yep I will be holding as well.
PS I will be buying more shares next week at this price
Hi all, I
have had a read through this Immersat judgment to extract the principles of this case and how they are relevant for Amigo. The following is a synopsis of the questions raised by the Judge to approve the vote.
1. Procedural and legal questions. The meeting itself and the vote therein. Was the meeting convened properly, with no evidence of oppression, with the vote being representative of those able to vote and the vote taken properly following reasonable information put to those voting. Unless there is something I am missing something this should be a formality.
2. The fairness question - whether the scheme presented to the meeting is such as might reasonably be approved by an honest and intelligent participant. An objective test of fairness. It doesn’t have to be the best option but reasonably acceptable, which it is.
3. Are the facts of the issue still the same since the vote/meeting? Yes.
All in all I think the issues are relatively straightforward and the answers to the above for Amigo should all be yes unless there is some sort of detail that is not in the public domain that puts a spanner in the works.
This is not to be taken as advice but merely to aide understanding of the issues. As always read through the judgement yourself and form your own opinion.
All the best.
Hi all, I haven’t come across this share before now. I have noted the tiny market cap (£3m). It looks like a multi resource company (oil in Ghana and Chad and salt lakes/lithium in Bolivia). From the website it looks as though it is awaiting ratification of the amended Petroleum Agreement by Cabinet and Parliament in Ghana. There appears to be some optimism about CLON. Certainly worth investigating further.
I listen to this avidly every Sunday and think it’s a brilliant format and a great discussion with one or two invited guests each week. However I reckon that the one this coming Sunday with Gareth Cave will be the best yet!
Perfect timing for this RNS following Elon’s recent tweets. I think this is a great time to buy with the depressed SP.
Elon has his own agenda at the end of the day, you can’t expect his tweets to be philanthropic or for the good of humanity, they are for his own agenda.
Otacon - as you can see, nor do I.
Welcome to Bristol, hopefully you are finding it a welcome place?
I have bought in today after a while. Feel this SP is too good to miss. But then again what do I know - it could and probably will go lower. Then again if you're a long term holder then quality will always win out in the end
Come back Vinson,
Vinson come back,
You held all the aces,
But now we’re so sad.
Because you’ve left us
We’re now bereft - yes
Due to rudeness
But you are the dude - yes
So please come back
Your seat is warm
We promise no rudeness
Or else you’ll be gone
