Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
One of these days we will get an all singing and dancing RNS. I suspect the BOD down play any significant news for fear of we need a bigger boat scenario back firing. But this is very positive news and with a new CEO to be announced as well its looking good for all LTH.
Well I have to say this is very refreshing to see on a Friday before bank holiday. I was getting fed up with the constant drivel spouted by our resident de-rampers on here. Lots of us have sat back and watched the SP fall with huge paper losses, but have stayed firm in the knowledge that this would come good in time. This is a very nice rise, but lets hope we get rewarded for our patience. Well done to all LTH.
Ok so yesterday’s RNS told us very little. It’s true that the BOD have failed to deliver on the expectations of us shareholders, and like some others on here i have reservations about the abilities of Legg and co.
That said I think it’s unfair to single out Gareth Cave, he is after all the brains behind our tech and I’m sure he genuinely believed his comments about needing a bigger boat. Let’s be honest at the time we all did and it’s why lots of us invested or topped up.
It would appear that we simply didn’t have the experience on the BOD to get this to market quickly and in volume at an affordable price.
Whatever their failings there is still time to fashion a successful business out of a missed opportunity
I have to echo a few points made here. It was a weak and disappointing RNS. I still believe in the technology but why mention Francis McIntyre again ?
Come on BOD you need to do better - focus on the positives.
Every time I visit this board it’s full of the same people either posting positive or negative comments, most of which are reposted drivel !
Come on guys and girls give it a rest. Simple truth is that nobody knows where this is going short term, it’s 1 step forward 2 steps back. Long term we have a chance of making a nice profit, but short term it’s all about winning a few contracts, and nobody here knows if or when that will happen. So shake hands agree to disagree and get on with life !
To quote a Beverley Knight song - Shoulda woulda coulda !
Im sure lots of investors are thinking that right now - but lets be honest, just because the government are proposing the mandatory lifting of mask wearing in public places etc, this Virus is going nowhere. Some will choose to take masks off and some will continue to wear them. But we are one small country in a world with a huge Covid problem.
If this share is all about mask sales (which its totally not), then its true the board missed a few golden opportunities. But we still have many avenues to exploit with this mask and the tech behind it.
Buy, sell or hold - its personal choice based on your own feelings and research , much like wearing a mask after July 19th !
Agree that masks are here to stay. There have always been a minority of idiots who flounce the rules or simply think they don't apply to them. All throughout lockdown I'm sure we have all witnessed the non mask wearers in shops and supermarkets, either catching the virus because of their own stupidity or passing it on to unsuspecting responsible members of the public perhaps wearing a less effective mask than the P2F version.
The vast majority of people are responsible and look after themselves and think of others by wearing a mask, and I think a large percentage of the population will continue to do so even after we are told we don't need to anymore. If it stops me getting a cold or the flu I will continue to wear a mask (and sanitise etc), be that in shops, supermarkets, doctors surgery etc.
So yes they are here to stay, in this country and others where their need is even greater.
Well I think we saw this coming. NHS staff have known this for a long time and have been demanding better quality PPE. You would like to think that we have thrown our hat in the ring long before now and perhaps last weeks news about the 5 ply mask is the first step towards that contract
Tory MP urges Javid to consider better air extraction
Conservative MP John Redwood urges the health secretary to look at improving air extraction and cleaning systems to see what more can be done to stop disease transmission.
He argues this will be essential if we are to learn to live with coronavirus.
Javid's answer is simple - "Yes, I will," he says.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Its great to see the SP heading back in the right direction, I think 2p is more likely in the short term, which would show most long term holders back in profit. And it deserves to be north of 3p. But lets wait for further positive news before we start patting each other on the back. Fingers crossed that we will all be rewarded for trusting and believing in the science and the potential it has.
Can I ask you Herbie if you are on a mission to ward off people from investing in this share? In the last 30 days you have made 105 posts across the LSE chat forum and all of them for share.
Well after yesterdays shenanigans on this board after the RNS dropped I fired off an email questioning the current state of affairs and lack of updates regarding sales figures and contracts.
I just had this response from Graham Herring.
'It is very much the intention of the Board to be announcing all positive news as and when they can.
Until contracts are signed they cannot announce them however they are very mindful that newsflow needs to increase which is what they are working on.'
Regards
Graham Herring

I know it does not answer our questions but at least I got a response.
Well in my opinion Herbie the rampers in the main want their investment to make money, not pump and dump. Im sure there are teams of investors who work together to deramp and ramp and make quick profits.
Ok so this was not the RNS genuine investors were hoping for, and like many I'm sitting on a significant loss should I be stupid enough to sell. I still believe in the science and in Dr Cave and in my opinion this will reward long term holders. Everyone has a right to their own opinion of course, and I understand why some people have sold their shares for a loss, probably invested in the hope that the mask would generate huge sales and a quick profit. I had hoped for the same myself, but I also believe the technology has broader uses.
What I don't understand is the stream of posters who constantly pepper this BB with negative posts about the company and the board, and then post the 'i told you so' comments. Do they do this for every share they think is a bad investment? Of course not, so they have their own agenda and I suspect they are the day/short term traders who invest on the drops and sell on the small gains.
Like any investment its a gamble, you can make or lose money and that's why the majority of genuine investors say Do your own research -i.e blame yourself if you lose money and pat yourself on the back if you make a profit.
NHS staff may indeed have a preference for FFP3 face masks, but who is to say they are aware of the Pro Lava mask? Besides wearing such a mask all day is likely to be uncomfortable. I suspect that discussions will consider many options and ultimately it will come down to improved health and safety as well as cost.
Plus there is always the possibility that the layer in our mask that kills the virus can be adapted for use in an FFP3 mask.
As with all investments its speculation, but potentially this share price could rocket (and I stress could here rather than will ,for the likes of unitedguy).
What an opportunity !

Evening Kainos - as much as I or anyone wants life to return to normal it’s simply an individuals responsibility to wear a mask, get vaccinated and play by the rules. The longer the idiots think they know better than the science then the longer we will have to have restrictions on our lives in place.
I’m invested to make money, but also because I believe in the science.
It seems this has become a very emotive investment. It’s safe to say that investors were expecting a positive RNS this week and for whatever reason it was not delivered. I can understand the negative posts and lack of confidence, but the fact remains that this will deliver, and probably on the back of the publics lack of discipline.
If you are a believer in this share then you are a mask wearer - someone who is responsible for them self and for others. I went shopping today and was disappointed to see the number of people not wearing a mask as the majority - albeit outside of shops but in an enclosed shopping precinct ( most of whom I would class as over 40).
We have a bank holiday weekend, nice weather predicted and an Indian Covid variant starting to take hold. Common sense says that the infection rate will rise as a result.
We are starting to become too complacent - just wear a mask, keep wearing a mask and washing your hands. If we want this to go away we have to follow the rules and the science - it’s simple.
I see the de-rampers are out in force this morning. For any new visitors to this board just ask yourself why would anyone waste their time running down a company and its share price? Sure they might make the odd valid point that might lead you to question your potential investment, but any investor is here to make money not lose it.
Do your own research, decide if the company has potential, be it in their products or services they offer and then work out if the share price represents value at it current level.
I took a view when the share price was much higher than it is now and bought some shares only for the share price to plummet. Since then I have purchased more shares and now have nearly 1.5 million shares at an average of 1.7pence. Just remember that you only lose money when you sell a share at loss. I wont be selling my shares as I believe in the science and the scientist behind the products being developed at P2F.
I cant get a handle on why the share price has fallen after such positive news from Dr Cave at the weekend. It seems people are so hung up on mask sales and contract news. These details will soon be public knowledge and the SP will react accordingly. With all the other potential news in the pipeline this share is a bargain IMO.
